I saw her back in the 80's on the Like A Virgin tour. She put on a good show then. Haven't seen her recently.

I'd prefer the superbowl to be football centered rather than a pop-culture spectical...... part of the reason I lost interest in football many years ago

Really liked her Superbowl show, thought her old songs were great with Cee Lo.

I think she did a great job. Sang well, it's not easy dancing around and singing and doing it well. Also liked the co singers and song selection. One of the few half time shows I've liked.

It was a good show, but a little Janet Jackson like sneaky peeky would have been dynamite! :w00t:

I thought she was gonna fall over backwards during the first song when she was stepping up on the platform. Guess those high heel boots got a little shaky. But I still love 'em. She's not bad for a 53 yr old.

Loved it. The dancers she had around her were fabulous. Didn't know who the big black guy was...but he has an awesome voice.

Watching a singer lip sync isn't my idea of entertainment, but overall the pomp was well done. The rope walker was the only thing live and I did enjoy that.

The dancing was quite live, and entertaining as well - especially the stairs, pretty amazing - but that rope guy was phenomenal.

After last year's fiasco with audio, I don't blame anyone for not wanting to trust the audio equipment - people are very quick to assume it was the performer who was awful. It's not like she can't sing her own songs, and I can't imagine trying to pull off those moves, at her age, while singing as well - I think some of us get winded just taking the steps.

A lot of people think that I should be dancing on the end of a rope. :)

I really never paid much attention to Madonna until I heard her sing "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" in the film "Evita ". She is in my mind at least a very talented vocal artist.

For the forum members who believe she was actually singing....
watch the end of the second song.... her lips stop moving while the song contines on.

Sorry.

It's not all that difficult to mouth words while dancing.

Big deal. A lot of performers lip synch. It was a very entertaining and fun show. And she had sprained her leg during practice, so had that to deal with, too. She did great! :)

.
I agree with you on her dancing and exercise routine. But, it's hard to congratulate someone for moving their lips in time with the music.
Other acts are guilty of this practice as well. Does it make them terrible performers?..... no, just lazy.
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers did an outstanding job during their performance a few years ago. Live music AND singing.
