CM9 reassembly. Slide stop question.

I was reading the reassembly instructions, and I noticed that the last step, insertion of the slide stop, it says to place it at the 4 0 clock position, insert halfway, then rotate to 3 o clock and insert. I've just been inserting at the the 3 o clock position whenever I reassemble. Is there a reason that the slide stop needs to be inserted at the 4 o clock first?

I sure hope not! I've been doing it just as you describe with my PM9.

I think it is just to try to avoid getting the slide stop spring accidently bent and under the slide stop post.
