View Full Version : noticed something today about my cw9/crossbreed setup
I pulled my gun out after I got home and realized that the mag had been dropped a little by the holster compressing on the release button. I wish there was a way to fix it, and other than ordering a left hand holster, I don't see a fix. So, if you have a crossbreed supertuck, or a IWB holster that covers the mag release button remember in a firefight you may want to smack the bottom of the mag to make sure you have followup shots....

The same has happened to me. I always touch it to chexck it when I am "adjusting my belt". It is very important to be aware of this.

Do the people at Crossbreed know about it? Sounds like a problem that they need to address.
i'm sure its a problem across the board for any type of gun that has a mag release button like the cw9. even a 1911 has a button that sticks out like that.

You might be able to trim the backing leather away to make it more of what CrossBreed calls a "combat cut". Here is my PM9 in an MTAC that shows how the leather is shaped around the mag release button.

I know it doesn't look exactly like an MTAC...I removed some of the extra backing leather from the bottom :D

That has happened to me when I was using a "Secret Agent" by DeSantis, while carrying a PM9. I "fixed" the problem by drilling a hole in the leather where the mag release button was making a mark on the holster. That took care of the problem for me ....... the holster is the least expensive(leather) one that I own. I have changed my carry gear and no longer use that holster.
nice! I may try that, I don't like how its kinda hard to draw out of the holster. Just sucks, you only get to cut once! haha

Are these holsters made specifically for the Kahr CW series? I have the CW9 with the Crimson Trace laser and use a Mitch Rosen holster specifically for the P series and it works great. Never any kind of problem.
