If customers are using this board to learn how to modify magazines in order to get a flush-fit on the CW models, then why not offer them this option? Obviously there is a market for such a product.

Kahr doesn't even answer emailed questions on the subject. I would buy a flush mag for the cw9 even if restricted to 6+1 rounds. My guess is most people buy this pistol for ccw. The protruding mag will print under a t-shirt.
It doesn't protrude that much......hpg

Hasn't been an issue in the least for me, I bought it this way so it wasn't a big surprise when I took the gun out of the case.
Now, had it magically grown while transporting it home - that would be different.

there are somehere also that feel the slide lock lever is to to big. I assuming that kahr has a reason for its size and probabl;y know that those who think it is to big will indeed modify it t their own liking. This might apply t tyhose who feel the magazine should fit tighter on the bottom than it does. Many do the mod thing them self, Most pay no attention to it one way or the other. We can it pick about any gun as to why they did this ot that. Some willjust take mattersinto their own hands and take careof it there way.

I'm with Jocko ...
If you want/need a custom gun to float your boat, invest in one. There are people that will do a fine job and charge you an appropriate price.
Otherwise, "shoot it like you stole it"
There isn't anything manufactured anywhere that someone won't complain that isn't made a different way that they think is better.

I did over a grand of custom sh-t to my PM9, that most would look at and say WHY?? Guraantee u if kahr did all the crap to that PM9 that I did and tried to sell it, the first one ordered from kahr by any dealer would still be sitting in the dealer show case.
I can even nit pick my G19 which on the box says GLOCK PERFECTION. Now how do u nit pick perfection????
First you gotta find the nits...

The gun does not need a modification, they just need to offer an alternative mag that is flush. If there was no demand for it, then why are their PAGES of posts on this forum where people discuss the modification?
We are talking a mag modification - it can even be an OPTIONAL mag, and not a gun modification. It seems like Kahr is missing an opportunity to simply provide an accessory mag that is flush fit. They refuse to return my E mail on the subject.

^What he said!
I'm not sure what the real demand is with all Kahr owners or potential Kahr owners. Maybe in the scheme of things it's very small, but I certainly would have bought one or two.
Even if Kahr doesn't offer an alternative mag, it would be just as nice if an aftermarket mag maker produced one. Maybe that's where an e-mail might do some good. At any rate, we are lucky to have guys on this forum willing to explore alternatives and devise useful modifications and to share the knowledge as they do. Because of that I now have a flush fit mag for my P45 that I otherwise would still be wishing I had. Just my .02.

Well heck, my PM9 has a flush-fitting metal base mag.......why can't they do the same for my CW45?
It ain't exactly rocket science....and it would be a simple improvement (for which there obviously is a demand).

Who knows how big the demand really is? Just because there are folks on this forum that want it, doesn't mean there is enough of a demand to justify producing a new magazine.
You'd think that if there truly was enough of a demand that it would be a no brainer for Kahr.
Just sayin.

We don't know the actual demand for the flush fit mag, but we do know that the cost to retool to do this is probably negligible as people are doing this modification in their garages. Even if there is not enough demand what ever happend to the "continuous improvement" mindset? By making a flush fit magazine Kahr can shave off just under 1/4 of protrusion. The buyer of this weapon wants it to be compact. Its compactness is the market. Perhaps Kahr has its reasons, so at the very least it should make them known - or respond to my E mail.

why not just do it yourself and be done with it. Not sure kahr really ownes anyone an explanaation to a question that more than likely would not make u happy anyways. Very very few here complain of the flush fit thing. I don't like the pin protruding on the right side as much as it does and I feel kahr could really care either. so I contoured it to suit my needs. To my knowledge I am the first to ever complain about this . Now if 5000 people complained tokahr about this pin sticking out to far, they might look into it, But a few "SUGGESTIONS OR COM;LAINTS" ain't gonna go anywhere.. Some here hate the way the top round looks in the magazine and seems loose by other mag comparisons, so they modify it to suit themselves...

I think the question is a fair one, but I really dont think anyone really cares. At least in any sort of quantites that would make it worth while to modify.

. it is not just a phone call made and things are then OK. Everythhing has to be tested and retested to make sure all is well. It might sound simple but in industry it is not.
