Greetings from Charlotte,

Haven't gotten my cm9 yet (tax return,) but wanted to know any advice on reloading, does it like 115 or 124 better, and powder recomendations, right know I use Unique and titegroup for my .40 so have them on hand.

Hello from Burnsville and welcome to the forum! I am not a reloader, but most people will tell you to use good factory FMJ ammo for breakin, like WWB from WallyWorld. Most of us use 115 for range work, although 124 or 148 won't hurt, either.

I've used Bullseye, Unique, and W231 for both bullets weights (fmj) that you mentioned.
To get point of impact to point of aim thru a PM9 and CW9, my guns prefered Bullseye with the 124 grain bullets.
With that said my go to powder for 9mm is W231, and I no longer load lead as Precision Delta bullets don't cost much more that lead and shoot way cleaner.

I've used Bullseye, Unique and HP38 and shoot mainly 124 grain LRN or LCNs with the occasional 147 grain. Lately I've been using more of the HP38.

I've used both Bullseye and Unique with cast bullets in the 115 to 125 range.
Be aware that your NEW CM9 will exhibit a definite "break-in". Read and heed the posts here regarding breaking in a new pistol...racking the slide, lube, etc.
My new CM9 didn't work well with my "bulk run" handloads at first. After a coupla hundred rounds of mil surp. 115 fmj's however..those issues have gone away.

I don't reload 9mm (yet) but I've had great success with using Berry's plated bullets and Blue Dot powder for my .40S&W loads.

Welcome CHB. Since you are getting a new gun, I sugest you use a strong load to overcome the initial friction. The new ones are tight and need a wet breakin period with power ammo initially to avoid slide issues of not having the energy to feed or fully close the slide. Once broken in it will shoot about anything.
