Hey all, new to KahrTalk. I purchased a CW40 awhile ago and finally got out to the range to shoot it. I absolutly enjoy this pistol. I Put 500 rounds of 165gr Winchester through it and it fired flawlessly. Couldn't ask for a better package of size and firepower. My question for other CW40 or CW9 owners is what kind of Holster do you perfer for this pistol? IWB and OWB. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Are you going to carry it CCW and what is your build? What type of clothing do you wear most of the time? Sounds a little personal, but these are the questions you need to consider. Usually, a owb holster is more comfortable. The pistol will carry in a high ride holster. For a IWB, the Desantis 028 works well. These do work best with a little slack in your waistband.

I have a IWB Parker holster or Mitch Rosen Clipper for my CW9. The Parker holster is very comfortable and a good price. You can buy it on Ebay and order it with a combat cut.

I was just wondering what IWB or OWB you use for your CW40 or CW9 so I can get an idea of what to look for. I'm looking mainly at an OWB holster right now, preferably leather, not a fan of the polymer holsters but that doesn't mean they are out of the question.

UBG Regulator, snaps on and off the belt, belt carry for comfort. I carry my P45 in it. An un-tucked t-shirt covers plenty.

Nate at UBG holsters does great work and his prices are good.

I suggest you check Bearcreek holsters. Doug does great work and is an active sponsor on several gun forums. You will get personal serivce and the price is very reasonable.

I'll go ahead and assume not many people have a OWB holster for a CW series pistol, due to the few responses and that they are designed specifically for concealed carry. I do appreciate all the replys though. I do already have a IWB holster, one of those CTD $20 specials that actually works pretty well. Since I already have a workable IWB holster for now I'm mainly concerned with a OWB for the range and general open carry if I decide to do that. I'm looking at a Bianchi 105 minimalist holster for OWB, for price mainly. If anybody else out there has a nice OWB holster Idea out there that's not $70 plus that works well let me know. If there isn't and I have to spend $70 plus then so be it.

I ended up getting a Bianchi 105 minimalist for $35 on amazon. I perfer to support the local gun stores if I can but being a lefty it's difficult to find holsters. I don't have the money right now to get a nice $70 holster so I went with the Bianchi. It seems like a decent holster. This will probably be my range holster for awhile till I get some more cash to upgrade.

Ordered a Blackhawk tuckable right hand IWB a couple days ago at my LGS. Also picked up 2 spair 6 round mags for $24.00 each. Dont know if thats a good price or not but it is cheaper than the Kahr web site.
