All 3 of mine were C sections. The last one I brought my own knife hoping for a discount. Didn't happen.
Same doc delivered all 3. During the operation he told us he had 3 sons in medical school. Every year he bought each of them a new Cadillac. He also said that I was paying for one of them. He had a knife......what could I do.

speaking gaily "Seen it"
My friend "Tom" was an avid water foul hunter in Maine when he lived up there. He legally carried in Maine at the time (in the 70's... I dont know the law... but he was legal). Some "activists" decided to fly radio control planes around the various hunting blinds, so the hunters did what came naturally and shot down the planes. Officers somehow got on the scene and took hunters to jail. While Tom's shotgun was out of his possession, they never "frisked" him, and it wasn't until he took off his coat in the cell that he realized he was still carrying! He unloaded his model 39, and called the guard, and told him "I think you better hold on to this...".
Ol' Tom tells these sort of tales... but he's got pictures they took of the busted up planes and such, so I give him benefit of BS doubt. Plus he's a dead ringer for Dave Crosby.... but that never got him a free beer.

CJB,
What did they arrest them for? What was the charge?

I really dont know. Or, if he was actually "arrested" or just detained to defuse the whole thing. Next time I see him, I'll ask!
I mean.... this is before the time of "shall not interfere with hunting" laws and such, so I have no real clue.

Jocko, you do know that they were small radio controlled planes with no pilots inside them, don't you? :33:

spoken like a true woman. U just have no conception or satisfaction of seeing a Mallard drake being blown out of the sky and then hitting the frozen ground with gusto and gutting himself all over the place. Man it just doesn't get any better than that:banplease:

Dang! I still remember that first Mallard Drake I shot on my first duck hunt... on Mather AFB near Sacramento, CA... Fall 1973. I don't remember if the shotgun was my 20 ga. 870 or my 12 ga. 1100, though. I hunted on-base there a lot... dove, waterfowl, jackrabbits, pheasants... even got at least one skunk... self-defense... my buddy ran(!), I just shot it... close range with my 1100... seemed prudent... stood my ground.

Yes, I did think that at first. Then being in the police academy and all I got to thinking how could I search to find something like that with out much more than a quick pat down, and then it turned into How The F*** did he do that. POP That sound was my little mind being blown. The thread I linked to on officer dot com was started to crack jokes about it, there are some good ones there.

Hey! You'll need rubber gloves, a small flashlight, and maybe some KY Jelly... and "face/nose" protection... gasmask. Oh, yeah, maybe one of those speculum thingies for looking in women's orifices.:D

I think I'll let him make it into the jail with it, I would still like to have been a fly on the wall when the sheriff was informed. "He had what, where?" There was a video in the link I posted that had a bit of the look on the face I'm after. That might be worth the Dear Chief letter. Oh and Wynn, I think that jail has opted for the garden hose and running water search now.
