Hi everyone, just signed up here because I purchased a CW9 from a friend last week. Was looking at IWB holsters and am not sure what to get. My son carries his in a Don Hume IWB and likes it. What do you think? Thanks

Check out this gorgeous work of holster art at a surprisingly good price.

Here is a very practical, very thin, concealable and comfortable little IWB holster for $40 shipped.

This thread has a lot of ideas in it.

I recently rec'd. a "IWB Behind the belt J-Hook" from www.pjholster.com (http://www.pjholster.com) that seems to be a good choice so far for my MK9.

The MK9 fits into the holster with a nice secure and positive 'click'. Given the +26 oz. or so loaded heft of the MK9, the holster is secure on the belt and balances nicely, tilting neither forward or backward.

Here's mine for my P9. My best kydex holster yet and I've tried a bunch!

I have a dual-loop IWB on order for my CM9 from TJ Edmond Leatherworks that should be done around the end of the month. Beautiful workmanship, and the wait times aren't that long...yet.

The fact that he's a local boy doesn't hurt either. ;)

Do a search for "Jason Winnie" holsters here on kahrtalk. I have his holsters and one of the other members said he is the grandson of Don Hume. He learned from the best.

I definitely wouldn't call Don Hume "the best". His company makes decent inexpensive holsters, but far from the best.

I understand the Don Hume name was sold years ago so Its not what it used to be but there are more "old" Don Hume and Bianchi products out there than most all others combined.

Much has been written about the two, both names still on holsters being built since the 50's with more than 80 million products sold combined.

These guys were truly the backbone of holster builders.

Interesting. I'm far from what many would consider young, and have been dabbling in guns for quite a while and have yet to see an old Don Hume holster. I've seen lots of vintage Bianchi stuff (and owned a good bit as well) along with a bunch of older Safariland stuff, but no Don Hume.

The older Don Hume holsters I have are marked CA from the 50's and 60's California is where Hume and Bianchi became lifelong friends not sure when he left California and moved to Oklahoma and started Oklahoma Leather in addition to the Don Hume line.

There is nothing cooler than old gunleather and its amazing how much of today's "good quality stuff" is built the same way with the majority of the same tools and techniques.

I have found good deals on Desantis, Don Hume, Bianchi and Tagua on ebay and Amazon.
