How much lube on your poly framed Kahrs?

1. Runs best wet
2. Runs best oiled sparingly
3. Somewhere in between

I use grease on the rails on my PM. Typically just a dab on each metal insert at the rear and in the grooves at the front of the slide does well.

Light coating of heavy grease on barrel locking parts.
Light coating of light grease on slide rails
Light coating of light oil on other parts

LIGHT coating... its not a transmission, its a pistol.

I use silicon grease on some equipment exposed to the elements but have found it remains very tacky and picks up everything thing, especially dust and sand. I would not use it on a gun. Mine may be different stuff than yours as I buy it at a pool supply company.

On my Kahr, I use TW25 and am very pleased with it. It goes on clean, doesn't smell, and when cleaning surfaces still have lube.

As for how much, it varies .... When new = a lot .... to.... when fully broken in = a little. The key for me is to rub it into the metal, not just smear. The rails (top & bottom + slots on muzzle; and the slide rails; you can't really rub. But you can and IMHO should rub the barrel, #6, ramp & chamber entrance.

I oil places like the cam shaft ends, trigger shaft, mag release and trigger disconnect. Those get a mini-drop from a #31 hypo.

I use CLP per the lube guide and lightly coat the metal frame inserts as well as the ejector. Over 1400 rounds, 17 different ammo types without a bobble.
