E 9???

I went to my LGS looking for a K9. But all they had was a E9? Clerk said it was the same gun , just an earlier version in black.

What can anybody tell me?

E9, AKA the first "economy" Kahr. Yes, it is basically the same as a K9 but has a carbon steel slide, plastic sight and maybe some other variances I can't recall. These are fine shooters and should cost around $400, give or take depending on condition. Takes the same springs as other K9s.

interesting enough ... though 'economy' version in respect to the slide machining (cosmetic profiling, i mean ... not compromised internally) they still have the match grade polygonal rifling barrel. These are fine guns and if you find one at a reasonable price are a GREAT find.

By economy, I mean the E was priced below the K just as the C is priced lower than the P models. Quality is still good, just as shootable.
