Has any one had any success with the 8 round magazine in the CM9/PM9 pistol? It seams the 7 rounder is a hit or miss with it's reliability.
Thank you.

Just ordered two from Cheaper than Dirt. I'll post back results once they arrive and I get a chance to test them.

My two 8 rounders cam ein this week. I put 50 rounds through one of them today (loaded to capacity each time except the last) with no issues. I'll repost after my next excursion.

I have 6 or 7 of those and keep my K9 loaded with them for home defense, and I carry those as reloads for my PM9. I've had NO problems with the K920G's at all... great for the range or reloads for carry.

I also keep an 8 round magazine in my CM9 for home defense duty. Never an issue, although I did the follower mod on it just to be sure.

Those are definitely good magazines... reliable... if you make sure they work.

Exactly what did you do in the follower mod? Can you explain how or what this consists of?

The springs on the 8-round 9mm mags are about twice the length of the tubes. I think that's their secret. I don't know that the followers "need" any help. I usually take all of my new mags apart and check for burrs on the feed lips and the followers... and the slot for the mag release/detent/holder. I push a combo of paper towel/rags through the tube to remove any crud and then wet my fingers with oil and rub it over the springs... and perhaps a bit on the sides of the followers. The followers don't really need any modification... on the 8-rounders, because of the long springs.

Due to the long springs, loading the 8th round is a *****.

And here I thought that accuracy was the only hit or miss thing.

Hmmm..... the 8rd is good, the 7rd sucks. Maybe folks should trade with Kahr when they buy a new PM9 and get the 7rd.

I have 2 perfect 7rd's that I want to trade for 8rd but no takers.

actually lincoln ur one of the few that I evenknow that uses the 8 round in the cm or pm models. jA;lthough kahrs offers the 8 rou8nd mags for any kahr model,I et thieir soleintentions badk then was for the K series and CW series and not the cm or PM series. Just sayin.

Here's my post on the Kahr 9mm mags. The lower right photo shows how long those springs are. That's two mags end-to-end under the springs.

No I don't have 8rd mags, but I know someone who does and has success with them as well as others here.

I wish I had a pair of 8rd instead of the 7's which have been perfect over several hundreds of rounds after I modded them. My carry method can handle 8rd as easily as 7rd. But alas I don't and It's not worth it to me to spend the money to buy them.

I've been thinking about getting a couple 8rd mags for my cm9, glad to hear that they're reliable.

Try topping off a 33rd Glock mag lol.

Put 120 rounds through an eight rounder (PM-9) today, 100 rounds of Federal FMJ and 20 rounds of Federal Personal Defense (PD). They have flat noses, so I wasn't optimistic, but had been kicking around ther house for a while so I figured I'd test them out. Put 96 rounds of FMJ (always a fullly loaded mag) with zero issues, then 16 rounds of the PD with zero issues. Took the last 4 of each and alternated them in the mag. The PD was on top and it nose dived. I cleared it, loaded it back in the mag, and fired them all through without an issue. Not happy with my first nosedive, but not terribly surprised either. I wouldn't carry that flat nosed PD anyway.

Put several hundred through my 8 rounders Friday. All worked great. When using JHP I could make the bullet hang up on the feed ramp with every single by riding the slide slowly. But when operating the pistol as expected, with over hand powerstroke or slide release, then everything was perfect.

Before using them I did take them apart and clean the goo.
