Just picked up my new PM9 DLC yesterday afternoon. I've owned 3 others over the years, but this one has the nicest slide finish. No blotches, scuffs or scratches with a nice evenly coated finish. She's a beaut!
Has Kahr finally managed to perfect the DLC coatings on their newer manufactured slides? Hopefully this will now be the norm. Needless to say, I'm very impressed! Now, I'm just hoping she shoots as good as she looks.
Sorry, I'm just a Junior Member, so I couldn't post any pics.

My friend and LGD highly recommends the blackened slide for a carry gun. His is about a year old with no visible wear. Not shot that much, but carried every day last summer.

Those DLC's are sexy as hell. This weekend... I may just KKote my own silver one.

I just won a GunBroker auction today for a PM9 with the DLC coating. I'm really hoping to get it some time next week so I can get her to the range and start the break-in process.

That sure is pretty! DLC stands for "Diamond Like Coating," I think. Durable stuff.

when i got my P9 i was beside myself w/ indecision over whether to get the DLC finish or not. i ultimately decided i liked the look of the 2 tone and planned on doing a robar NP3 finish at some point (have not yet, but still the plan).

BUT...the more I see pics of the DLC finish, the more i want one. i guess his and his P9s may have to be in my future. one stainless one DLC.

I've been carrying one for the last about three years. Thousands of rounds through it. Dead stone reliable and no appreciable wear. I consider it one of my better firearms purchase decisions over the past 50 years.

Good choice.

So its a salt treated nitride coating like glock s&w and may others use?? Tenifer or melonite.! It does look good and cheaper than the nickel they use.
