I returned from the range today shooting my CW45. I have put over 300 rounds through it without any problems.
However, when cleaning it today, I noticed this. It doesn't feel rough and doesn't seem to affect loading at all, but I'm not sure what to think.
Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated.

Looks like the nickel plating is coming off. It shouldn't effect function if its still smooth. You might want to send that picture to Kahr and see what they say about it.

In my limited experience with Kahr cs the picture being sent to them is a must. I tried to explain an issue and when I emailed a picture I got an immediate response.

Wow, learn something new every day. I didn't know that the barrel was plated.
I'm wondering if you polished the ramp yourself, and how it was done....
That can be "blended" if Kahr wants to do nothing about it, or just leave it be.

How old is the gun and how many(total) rounds went through it?

If it is in fact a flake off the nickle I say replace the barrel. If it flaked there it could flake anywhere. The ramp takes a beating and that could become nose dive hell.

How do you clean the barrel?

Was that you using a dremel and flitz for routine cleanings? If not and its a bad plating job, you need a new barrel.

Send those pics to Kahr CS and they'll surely replace that barrel.

Quick update...........
Just got an email from Kahr CS. They said it's just the chrome plating coming off and that it probably wouldn't be any problem, however, they will replace the barrel under warranty, if I wanted.
I replied yes, let's replace the barrel.
Another great response from Kahr CS.
EDIT... I said chrome, it may be nickle, all Kahr mentioned was "plating". Sorry for any misunderstanding.

That's good to hear.
You say chrome plating but some other posts say nickle plating, do you know which one it really is? Just curious and want to become a little more knowledgeable.

In my (limited) experience with (automotive) plating there's usually a layer of copper, a layer of nickel, and a layer of chrome (chromium). but there are other ways to do it too.

That said, I have no idea how Kahr does it. In most cases "chrome" is jargon for shiny plated metal surface.

When I got my CW9 about 700-800 flawless rounds ago the feed ramp had a couple of unsightly machining marks on it. I noticed them when I first cleaned the gun but the functionality was fine. Since I felt compelled to make it perfect I took out my trusty Dremel and polished the heck out of it until it shined like crazy. I know I removed a pretty good layer so now I am wondering how thick that nickel plating is. It sure looks good and cleans up great after shooting.

I agree, it's nickel.
