After looking at pistols for months on end i finally broke down and ordered my first pistol, a P9. I had been looking at XDs, glocks, and walthers but after shooting my friends CM9 I decided to go with Kahr for my first pistol.
I got it early last week and after 400 rounds through it it has yet (**knock on wood**) to have a hiccup, even with dirty/cheap target ammo. :D I've enjoyed shooting it and how easy it is to take apart and clean, so much that i'm looking at getting either a pm9 or p380 as well for conceal carry...who knows maybe even both.

That's funny you say that. I fell in love with my P9. A month later I had a chance to shoot a P380 new out of the box. Odd issues with cycling. Something was sticking pretty good. After a few dozen rounds it got loose. Worked better with a few more rounds. Regardless, I liked the size as a carry option to the larger brother. I ended up ordering one and it has been excellent. So far, as equal in reliability as the P9. I feel that it requires a firm grip to allow the action to fully cycle. Have fun.

my p9 is hands down my favorite gun to shoot. had a pm9 but was never totally happy w/ the short grip (mostly drawing, not really an issue shooting). i just wanted more to grab onto pulling from iwb. anyway, it is truly an awesome pistol, can't say enough good about the p9.
i was really leaning toward the p380 as a second Kahr purchase but ultimately decided it was just too stinkin' small (physical size) given that i never got comfortable w/ the pm9. with new bullet tech though, the p380 is a great choice when something bigger is not an option. but, give the p9 a try as your carry choice, you might be suprised. it's WAY smaller and thinner than almost any other 9mm out there. a few are trying to compete, but imo not even close to the Kahr quality. but w/ a decent iwb holster, the p9 dissappears and you hardly know you have it on you. i ultimately decided against even buying the p380 and sold the pm9 because i found that simply altering my clothing choice and using a good iwb holster w/ the p9 worked beautifully.
my next kahr will definitely be the tp9, if i can find one at a decent price. seems prices are on the rise right now, the tp9 was dropping well below $500 out-the-door a few months back but now not seeing one for under $525-550 (gun only). tack in the FFL transfer fee and shipping and it's now pushing $600. probably hold out for an excellent quality used one when/if one shows up somewhere.
keep putting rounds down range, as your p9 loosens up (assuming you bought a new one that not already broken in)...it just keeps getting better.

Agree. It's the smallest pistol I own and hides (on me) just as well as the PM9 I once owned.
