I emailed Kahr and they swapped my 7 round mag for a 6 round mag. My 6 round mag that came with my pistol always worked good, but had a few nose dive hangups with the 7 round mag. I ran a few boxes of ammo with the new mag yesterday and it ran perfect. Anyways I wanted to say that Jay at Kahr was really helpful and made the swap easy, thanks.

I was shooting with a friend that has a another brand of a small pistol in a 9mm and he was having problems making it feed and go bang. I shot a clip full through his pistol and my PM9 trigger was so much better that I wouldn't trade my Kahr for a box full of his pistols. I'm not knocking other brands but just saying, lol. To be fair his pistol did cost less, and he was shooting a mix of ammo and reloads that he bought somewhere cheap.

Do you have Jay's e-mail? I would like to exchange the 7 round for a 6 round as well, thanks.

I just emailed service at kahr dot com from their web pages faq page and Jay was the one that responded. They have a phone number listed there also but I just sent a email.

Looks like I would be exchanging my 7 rd mag with the 6 rd as well. Do you have to include your PM9's serial number to get the exchange?

Jay just sent me instructions for my exchange. Where to send the old mag and to put a note with it describing the problem, no numbers needed. A couple weeks later I got a new 6 round mag in the mail.

I guess I'm not the only one that was having problems with the 7 rd mag? I love the pistol and it works good with the 6 round mags. Even with the hangup in the 7 rd mag one rack would feed the nose dived round, but I won't miss having the extra round with perfect feeding!

I have somewhere close to two thousand rounds through it now and its running perfect.

I did try the follower mod with the 7 round mag, where I sanded off the corner of the follower till it cleared the mag release catch as suggested on the forum. But no luck, it still jammed about the 2 round down. And finally the modded follower broke later when I had it in the 6 round mag. Some might be interested to know that even with the front leg broke off the follower it still fed good, I only noticed it when reloading the mag.

replayu 13. I have had two followers crack on my PM9 in 32K rounds, both of them never gave an issue, actualluy I never even knew they had broken until taking the mags apart for general cleaning.

I hae said it to many times. screw those 7 round extended magazines for kthe PM9 or CM9. they tend to give issues kand if u can't depend on it, then jpeddle them and get a 6 round and be done with it. If u can't do the job in 7 rounds total, ur already dead.

so question here. All the PM9 7rd mags have issues? Im thinking about getting a PM9 and don't really like that the 7rd extends out so much anyway but im wondering about the exchange also.

My PM9 is coming this Friday and I have ordered an extra 6rd Mag. I was not aware of any problems with the 7rd mags that came with the PM9, I plan to exchange my 7rd for the 6rd because its flush fitting for better concealment.
