Well, went back to the range with my CM9 today after a very bad initial 200+ rounds a few weeks back with nothing but problems. What a difference, 200 rounds of flawless shooting. I took others suggestions & evaluated each step in the shooting process with the only thing changed was the way I chambered the first round. I read the manual & saw how they first had the gun slide closed, then loaded a magazine, locked the slide before chambering the round. My first foray with the CM9 I was locking the slide back between mag changes & just slapping the next mag in then dropping the slide which resulted in lots of FTF or subsequent FTE. This subtle change the way I loaded this gun seemed to solve my issues. I have always just locked the slide back & popped a mag in my other guns, so never occurred to me that it was different with this gun. If I had not gone back & reread the owner's manual on loading this gun, would likely have been frustrated again. I am now confident in using this gun as personal protection when I am out late running.

Welcome to the forum and It gets better and better. I'm at 700+ rounds and I can now hand rack mine as long as I pull all the way back and don't ride it forward. After about 400 you won't even realize it's the same gun.

Glad this trip went better.

poppijng a mag in on many guns willnot release the slide if locked open. Hand racking kahrs are alittle trying at first, ge gun is tight, it never gets loosey goosey either. It is what it is. that being sadi when the shooter and the gun finally mate up togeter things just all of sudden smooth out and what were issues are round 10 is now a nightmare gone by. You can hand rack a kahr and u will know when that time willcome. that is also what range time is for to, not just the bang thing but knowng the gun and its quirks and ur quirks to. I had a hell of a time hand racking my P380, actuall had 50% or more failure kwhen trying it but after a few hundred rounds the gun smoothed out and I just got wiser in hand racking andnow I can do both perfectly. Some people say well I can hand rackmy lcp easier than my P380 or any kahrd, well the ruger lcp has a 9# recoil spring, I would bet the P380 recoil spring is close to double that. We adjust real quick.

Ok I get the fact that a small gun is easy to carry on a run. How do you carry it concealed and keep it from flopping around? I figure you would be the best one to ask. I don't see myself ever running a marathon or even a half, but when I run my little bit for work and the academy I would like to keep a pistol on me and keep it from flopping around. Thanks.

I wear mine(CM9) with a Belly band(around chest....under left arm).....and have sown some attachments (NutnFancy style)(strap over handle and over one shoulder).....wear it ALL day.....I am a runner....and runs would not be a problem at ALL.....very comfortable!!....very stable.....

I love this due to Deeeeep depeeeeep Concealment!.....no one EVER know you have it on!.....

yes I understand it is not the quickest to draw....but I'm good with that.....If I need it....it's on me....not at the house.

If you want a quick draw with that setup, wear a western shirt with snaps instead of buttons. You can "rip" one of those shirts open several snaps in a second and be going for your gun. And there is no damage to the shirt.
