where I can find a good pistol schematic or diagram so I can better understand the inner workings of a semi-auto?

It's for a 1911 so it's a little different than others but it sure gives you a good idea of what's going on inside a semi-auto.

Brownells and Gun Part Inc (Numeric) have numerous schematics on line if your looking for a particular gun. Gun Part's list several for free and others they sell and you download. Can be really helpful when you get a gun in a sack all apart and your trying to figure out if it's all there.
