CM9 Feed issues

A guy I work with has a CM9 that he bought used, he says it is having feed issues. He said the 4th round will not feed properly, no matter what ammo he uses (FJM, Hollow point, etc).

Any ideas???

tell him to read the kahr tech section ahd hit on the propper prepping thread, it touchs o how to check to see if the magazine follower is by chance catching on the magazine release.

a gun can't count, so if it is the 4th round, then it has to be mag related...

Make sure the mag spring is not backwards. A wolff's +5% mag spring light be a good idea. Clean the mag inside and out, polish the inside of the feed lips. Polish the feed ramp and rub some good grease into it and the chamber mouth. Try another mag. Just some thoughts...

good point, we just had a poster who bought a 6 year old PM9 and the mag spring was in backwards. Sh-t happens as u well know.

I think it's mag related also, thought maybe the spring was just worn out or old or something. I'll have him check those things and go from there.

Are there pictures or illustrations any place that shows the mag spring and how it should be in the right way? Haven't been able to pick up my new CM9 from the gunsmith yet (independent working out of his home and has been away for a couple of days) but by reading all the posts I'm hoping to be prepared for all the things that might go wrong the first trip out with it.

As far as the spring in the mags the follower only fits in the spring one way and when you tale the mags apart at least in my mk's it is pretty much self explanatory. The follower should be orientated at the same angle of the mag.

i had a problem with my recoil spring, Kahr sent me a new one and I didnt have luck with that one either. I sent the gun back to kahr and they said they replaced the barrel and since I got the new barrel i have no issues and i put enough rounds through it now that its a carry weapon :D

indeed we can only do so much in house and just sometmes it needs to go backto kahr toget right. Looks like they took care of u right to. ni9ce report.
