i saw the one pictured on the forum and would like to copy it. they say copying is a good sign of flattering , or something like that. it doesnt look hard but should i do it or gunsmith ? and anybody have a special technike?
You can do it with a one inch felt wheel, dremel (or similar) and some Flitz. I'd use Flitz because its harder to go "too far" into the finish. You'll be polishing nickel plating, and it polishes very easily.

Indeed.
The dreaded dremel.
It can be your friend or your worst nightmare.
Go slow.
I started on the left side of the barrel so if I screwed it up, it wouldn't show.
When I was comfortable with the outcome I just worked my way around.
It helped take out the scuff marks from firiing.
I didn't want the mirror finish or I'd constantly be polishing it, just got the dullness out and the scratches.
