I am fixing to order a gun belt and holster and was wondering if anyone has tried the Velcro clips that attach to the backside of your gunbelt. I am interested in these so that I don't have two metal clips showing on my belt.

Don't worry about it, no one looks at your ass like you think they do. Velcro has a tendency to wear out fairly quickly, and loose its sticky. Go with the metal, and they'll last far longer.

I have a tuckable PJ IWB holster with velcro. I don't think it will wear out any time soon. But if it does, Paul (of PJ Holsters) would send me some more.

I use a Theis IWB holster (http://theisholsters.com/) with Kydex clips. They're amazingly strong and light weight. Aren't as conspicuous as metal. Blend into a black belt just fine.

Excellent work, super quick turnaround and a really nice man to do business with.

i started making my own holsters a couple of months ago, when i ran out of steel clips, i started replacing them with velcro strips. they work extremely well and if they do wear out they will be easily replaced. so what else do i have to do, i'm retired. replacing a velcro strip is easier than ordering new metal ones.

I just recently switched my CBST from the kydex J-clips to the velcro clips. I disagree that the clips aren't noticeable. It just depends on how observant other people are; while many may be blind, there's more than you realize who DO see the clips. Just because I don't walk up and tell you that I see them doesn't mean I haven't observed them.

To the OP's question: I am VERY happy with the velcro clips. They hold very tight, and at least compared to the J-clips, they do a better job of keeping the weight of the gun on your belt, and not on your pants. If you're carrying in situations where you are wearing business casual, with a tucked shirt that would look unprofessional bloused to the point your belt clips weren't visible, the velcro is the way to go.

HIGHLY recommend.
