Ran another box and a half thru the CW9 today. Included were some Remington Golden Sabers 124 gr. +Ps. Ran thru them all with out a single hiccup. I love this gun. Now if I can just get that recoil spring back in without breaking my thumbs. LOL. :D

I think I am so happy with this one because I was so disappointed with the P380 I had. I just can't believe how trouble free this version (CW) is. :D

my previous two favorite carry guns (other than my daily revolver) were a Kimber Compact and Sig P239 - both single stack, 7 + 1. When I bought my CW9 in the Fall of 2009, the Kimber and Sig began to spend most of their time in the safe, then after a year or so neither saw the light of day unless for a range trip. Last month, I was offered a very good sum for the P239, and it was replaced the same day with a CM9. That P239 was among the very highest quality manufacturing I've ever handled in a carry gun, but after my 2+ year experience with the 100% flawless CW9 I have every confidence that both it, and it's new little brother CM9 will easily handle my handgun carry needs. The Kimber???? It stays:D

Others will correct me if I am wrong but I think the CM has a shorter grip and maybe slightly shorter barrel, both for improved concealled carry. Of course with a shorter grip it carries one less round. :D

Another way to understand the difference is that the CW9 is the same size as the P9 and is essentially and operationally the same gun with some mostly cosmetic differences to reduce the price. Likewise, the CM9 is the same size as the PM9 and is essentially and operationally the same gun with some mostly cosmetic differences to reduce the price.
So, in the case of both the CW9 and the CM9, they are not "new" guns, but simply two well proven models that are offered in a form that allows the price to be reduced.
