New to Conceal Carry (from Wisconsin) and just ordered a CM9. I'd like to get an idea of how you guys carry these and what they look like while being carried.

Edit: just got my CM9 today. :cheer2:
Here it is in the N82 Tactical Pro. (Not sure if I like how big the belt clip is on this thing. The holster is super comfy though.

CM9 in a Theis cowhide tuckable holster. Pierce grip extension and Hogue Jr. grip.

Disappears on me at the 4:00 position and a sweatshirt or sweater over it.
Works pretty well with a nice button up shirt tucked in.

I carry mty CW45 in a Remora holster, since it has the CT Laser and that really limits the holster selection. I wear it about 4:30 with the edge of the holster parallel with the top of my pants, and the Kahr handle canted up along my kidney.

What do you mean, b? He didn't include the pic that shows how the holster is secured using a thin nylon inner belt totally seperate from his pants belt. That is the beauty of this concept! Nothing dragging your pants down. Nothing attached to or visible on your belt. Can tuck a shirt over it. Placement and ride height is whatever you want it to be. And that inner belt can be snugged up on any waist size, so skinny doesn't matter. A really ingenious concept! Did you notice how there is no printing at all through the pants? I believe this setup will work extremely well for total concealment of the larger Kahrs, too.

Click the full story link at the top of his post and go to page 2 to see more pics of the setup.

Here are too many pics of my Silent Thunder IWB with my PM9. Until recently I've always carried under a long shirt. Now that I've done the tuck thing I'll carry that way mostly in the summer. Of course my wife hates my suspenders but since my hip bones are concealed the pants won't stay up without them.

Is that a TCP in a Bulldog case on your left?

No, that's some case I found laying around my office that is sturdy and hangs very solid on the belt. My old cell phone case was falling apart so I carry my 2 7rd mags in this one until I find a good one at very cheap price. Funny thing is, this will carry 4 6rd mags vertically perfectly. But who wants to carry that many mags?

I think I know what I want but need to see if that mag guy who does it for a hobby is interested. I'd like to carry 2 mags vertically IWB with a back shield between them and me and a screw on Garrett belt clip so I can tuck the shirt or wear an over shirt.

PS: Why does this site think "ce11phone" is a nasty word but liked cell phone fine.

PSS: OMG! I just remembered this IS a gun case, likely a Bulldog. I bought it for my Colt Mustang that would have fit it perfectly if the measurements they showed were accurate. The inside measures are 1/2" off because the inside elastic is inset 1/4" on the sides and bottom.

Then it is going to require a complete wardrobe change. Wearing Wrangler jeans I have not found anyway to carry with my shirt tucked in that the gun doesn't cause a noticable bulge in my beltlline.

Where on the holster clock are you wearing it? If you wear it at 4:00-4:30, it doesn't bulge as much because your waist is flatter there, and it is not visible at all from the front. Another thing that we old hands will tell you is that it is a lot more noticeable to you than anyone else. You get to where you forget that it is there and, after a long time of no one mentioning or calling attention to it, you get less sensitive about the issue.

What HeyGuysWatchThis is saying is true, though. The fact that it does not attach to his pants or belt really minimizes any bulge or printing of the pants or belt. A belly band holster worn kind of high with the gun behind the hip would work well also under a tucked shirt.

I'm using a position very much the same as your pictures but I end up with a noticeable bulge in the belt line and the end of the barrel prints about where your finger is pointing in the picture of you grasping the gun.

I was able to help this by adjusting the clip on the holster so that the gun rode higher but that led to the handle printing very easily if I bent over or reached for something. Not so bad with a starched shirt bloused but pretty bad with just a pull on shirt.

Probably need a different style of pants or a size bigger.

I've got a buddy that carries his up there an loves it...I hate it. Im sure you could trim off some leather to make it more comfortable. You can move the clips to adjust the ride height but the Kydex is riveted in, so there is no adjusting the cant. It digs into the front of my hip everytime i bend over or sit down...and some times causes the gun to "click" out of place and have to be "clicked" back down in the holster

I will have to agree with the other guys in saying us skinnier guys (Im 6 feet but only 175 lbs.) have trouble hiding stuff under our clothes...Ive had to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe of Large shirts cuz my Mediums just dont do the trick when i sit down or bendover...they get stuck behind my grip at the 4 oclock position...

Maybe that answers your question?

Does the job for me. There's a PM45 in those Wranglers, in my right front pocket. Comfy, accessable. Drawback - gets dirty fast, needs cleaning to get grit and such out. About once a week with an internal wipe down and light lube. I can live with that.

I bought a Remora Holster for my CM9. It is like having 3 holsters all in one. It can be worn in the pocket, in the waistband or outside your pants under a belt. It does not move in either of these carries. It does stick to whatever it is in contact with. I have carried with all of these methods with no issues at all.

Here's another pic that shows the tuckability. It draws well, considering that it's covered by a shirt. It's set up to emphasize concealability so I knowingly gave up some speed for that.

Crossbreed MiniTuck @~4:00. I live in MA and had to buy the PM9 with thumb safety and LCI (loaded chamber indicator). I should mention that I had to spend some time with a dykem marker and file to get the PM9 to holster without the "LCI" scraping Kydex off. Other than that, extremely comfortable and conceals extremely well with even tighter fitting shirts.

My custom polished CM9 in a Tagua smooth leather lined open top belt holster.

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee486/John_England/My%20Custom%20CM9/MyCM9inTaguaHolster.jpg

Looked good. Comfortable. Rode high and tight against my back for good concealment. Great price for a lined holster: $45 shipped. But the gun was loose in it and would fall out if turned upside down. I looked closer at the package it came in and it was labeled 'PM45'. So, like a lot of bigger manufacturers, Tagua tries to trim their inventory by specifying one holster model to fit the largest one of a group of guns, leaving the owners of smaller guns in that group to deal with looseness. I sold it to a forum member for his PM45 and it works perfectly for him.

I have found this approximate and group sizing to be a problem with a lot of the big holster manufacturers. That is why I favor the small, one man, home workshop makers that do holsters one at a time to order, only if they have a mold for that gun. And I have found a couple of real tremendous, mostly hidden talents!

Coach Paul at PJ Holsters (http://pjholster.com/) makes kydex holsters that are so amazingly comfortable that you cannot tell you are wearing them!

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee486/John_England/Miscellanious%20Guns%20and%20Holsters/PJIWBBeltHookHolster-1.jpg

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee486/John_England/Miscellanious%20Guns%20and%20Holsters/PJIWBBeltHookHolsterBack.jpg

And James at James Dean Gunleather is one of the most gifted artists in leather that has ever come along! He uses finest Herman Oak leather, hand stitches them without a thread out of place, molds and shapes them perfectly to your gun, puts a deep finish on them and does the neatest smoothed and finished edges I have ever seen on a holster! And his holsters work! Once you have one, you realize that you have a custom made piece of art in leather that you will treasure for the rest of your life! Here is my first of many holsters from this artist!

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee486/John_England/Miscellanious%20Guns%20and%20Holsters/MyJDHolsterFront.jpg

So that's what I've been reading but I dont understand-- when I move my clips, sure its technically adjusting the cant of the firearm, but then again im just making my holster all cock-eyed so its not as comfortable, sticks out funny, and makes the draw angle kind of awkward. Am I missing something here?

@Redbeard - did you tell the guys at CB that you had the LCI? They are really good and can almost make anything work the first time; if not you have a lifetime warranty, just send it back in to Mark and he can do work. (sounds like you already got it all figured out though)

@SpecK -- To be honest, it didn't cross my mind when I ordered the holster. Actually, I ordered the holster a week before I even purchased my pm9 to get a jump start on the manufacturing time.

I had to take very little Kydex off to get it to holster properly with a round chambered so I hadn't considered giving them a call but it may not be a bad idea so that they can be prepared for that option if other customers have the LCI as well.
