I started a couple threads last month on my new s&w 640 centennial and a chiefs special in 40s&w. Found the chiefs special for 440.00 including tax and it was in perfect condition so i snagged it quick. All is well with my 38 too.

Just thought i would post a pic or two. I know u guys like good ol gun porn. :33:

Where on Earth did you find that CS40? I could see myself in one of those.

I live in WA state. I found it at a store called skagit arms in Burlington WA. i know i lucked out! They always seem to have a great selection of used guns. Lots of oddballs come in through there. They also are always getting third gen s&w.

Last time i went though there they had a nice used colt collection come through. Couple old 380s and a few 25s. One was a colt junior a d the other to colt vest pockets. Didnt have any money with me or else i woulda bought a couple

I used to stop there every morning when I did an addition to the hospital in Anacortes, that was before they added the guns to the place and in the old building. Great little store with just about everything. I haven't been in since they brought in guns. My son has been in a couple times. I gotta get up there and check it out.

Bawanna-

Ya they are a good little shop. People there are very friendly. The new gun selection never impressed me too much but i always gotta eye out for used pieces that are harder to find. The 640 is my new carry weapon.

By the way i live in Anacortes pretty close to the hospital too.

I commuted daily from Monroe to Anacortes for probably 6 months. It was a pretty good job, challenging since we were trying to work around them while in operation. Ironically in the Rehab facility. Wasn't thinking I should have had them send me up there for rehab, they had some beautiful nurses.

Used to be a great ice cream shop kind of on the edge of town headed back this way, visited them quite frequently, huge waffle cones. We gave up trying to eat the things while driving and just hung around and ate them before the commute.

Does anyone know if the cs40 is more rare then the cs9 or 45? It seems there is barely any information on the 40 model...

Nice.
I have a S&W 640-1 myself.
Don't know what sights you have on it?
But I upgraded both my J-Frames with a XS Big Dots on the nose.
It's one of the best upgrades you can make - IMHO.

Barth-

I just have the stock sites on it. I hace always been interested in big dot sites, mainly for my pm9 tho.

Thinkin bout getting big dog grips for the cs40. Heard it makes concealing it alot easier

Have the full XS 24/7 Express Big Dot front and rear sights on my P220.
They are great for close quarters work.
