Is this normal? I notice that the trigger bar seems to push out on the grip slightly and up on the slide slightly when I pull trigger back.

normal. the grip is actually part of the gu that keeps the trigger bar in place. Has no effect on accuracy ..

Good to know. I just like to give my guns a thorough going over before using them. Thanks for the quick replies.

Just to reinforce this answer... the wood grips for the K9 actually have a small metal plate embedded in that location for the trigger bar to slide against. Metal being smoother and longer lived than wood I suppose. All in the grand plan and normal as rain.

Looks like you're getting to know your K9 very well. Enjoy the gun, I love mine, lots of fun to shoot.

Yes sir, I enjoy learning the inner workings as much as shooting them. The elegant simplicity of modern firearms intrigues me. The trigger bar thing does annoy me slightly though...
Anyway, looking forward to running a few hundred rounds through it tomorrow for break-in. Wish I had some more magazines. I have five for my XD so I have been spoiled in terms of not have to reload mags as often. I plan on ordering a bunch of 7 round magazines, I do not like the extended mag that came with the gun. I got one standard and one extended. I would have preferred two standard mags.

You obviously have a sub-standard K9. I should take it off your hands just so you don't have issues. I'd step to the plate for $125 just to be a good guy :lie:

I hear you. One of my Kahrs, the P9, came with 13 mags! When I saw the box full I said "DEAL!". :D
