Going to go shoot my new CM9 (MY first Kahr) today. I went through the strip, and clean last night. I also racked that thing 500+ times....I must of looked like a Masterbating Monkey:D Anywho... My buddy wants to shoot outside today, ahhh yeah, it's 9 freaking degrees this morning. Oh well, guess I'll live. I might see if I can talk him into going to the indoor range.
Anyway, I can't wait to shoot this little guy. I love how it feels in my hand. I'm used to M&P's, and Glocks, so this will be a bit of a learning experience for me.
Take care, and hope everyone has a steller weekend!

Be safe out there. Stay warm and take your time. If you're like the majority of new CM9 owners, you're going to have a blast (pun intended).

I found I was gripping way too tight in the begining. Shot low left a lot. I relaxed and brought it right in. Obviously don't relax too much. you'll see.

Yeah, I'm not used to little 9's. I did shoot my buddy's dad's Ruger LC9....Would that be similar?
Closest I have come to owning one is a Glock 26.

Shooting the CM9 will be much better than the LC9. Less recoil and more accurate. You will be wanting to shoot more often with more ammo.

I only ever shot an LC9 once and hated it, so I am not a good reference on that. I shoot my son's Glock 26 often and this is a BUNCH different. Found weak hand placement different and critical. Gun wants to twist in my hand with improper weak hand. You have a couple of hundred rounds to mess around and see what works for you. Trigger is Like Buttah.

I believe you'll find that the smaller Kahr pistols have less felt recoil than the other Small 9mm because it sits a little lower in your hands do the there patented trigger design.

As a fellow CM9 owner.... I never get tired of hearing about them... No broken record to me. Stay warm and have fun.
A friend of mine bought a Sig P238 last week and he want's to go shoot it today. It's in the 50s here today so I wont be as cold as you. Ha ha. I'm taking my CM9 to shoot with my friend. When we leave he'll probably be wishing he'd have bought a CM9. Basically the same size pistol with more fire power and cheaper ammo.

At 67 years of age this former Marine is getting soft... At nine degrees I'm in my basement shooting my Airsoft Glock 26 or doing dry fire practice with one of my carries. You, if you're younger than lets say 65 should be out there shooting your CM9 - builds character you know. :)

Well I'm back!!
Brrrr.....It was *****! 15 degrees tops while I was shooting with a breeze. Ididn't find any Damn gloves that would work for shooting a small pistol like the Cm9, so bare hands it was.
I am happy to report, that despite the temperature, I managed to pump out 200+ rounds in about 1/2 hour. Mostly WWB 115FMJ. About 25 rounds of a mix of Hornady Critical defense, and some Winchester 147gr HP.
It all ran FLAWLESSLY!! I did have one nosedive, but I know for a fact it was operator error, I didn't have the last round seated all the way back in the mag, so when I racked the slide it nosedived.
I also had no issues using the "Slingshot" method.
So am a very happy camper. It ran all my ammo, it said "FU" to the Minnesota temps, and was happy to let me use the "slingshot" method.
I AM A KAHR FAN!

Congrats! Glad to hear you liked it! -- My PM9 has no problem with the slingshot either -- Kahr has fixed alot of issues in a short time frame. Oh, and next time tell your friend to get a job so you dont have to shoot in that cold :D

Thanks Tinman! Note to self....FIND GLOVES!Let us know what challenges gloves present. What fits inside the trigger guard, what is warm but allows some feel etc

Many, me included, believe it's the luck of the draw (no pun intended). Whether you believe 10% have issues or 30% have issues, odds are high you will get a good gun. Nothing I have read indicates any design changes, the P380 being the lone exception....and for very good reason.

Well I meant alot of the issues you read about consistently...or compared to some models from a few years ago.. but I have to agree with you its all luck of the draw. Im sure Im being biased because mine has ran flawlessly so far and it had a BOD of 12/2011-- that being said all you ever read about are the issues so the are much more prevailant. nobody gets frustrated and wants to know why their pistol works so damn well  .....buuuttt i am pretty sure Ive read that even though designs may not have changed, kahr has maybe done some things in their factory to enhance reliability (slight polishing comes to mind?) -- I think like any company, they keep those cards close to the chest.....or maybe I am completely wrong, it wouldnt be the first time..
