Hey guys, I've been considering getting a cm9 or pm9 for pocket carry. I have been trying to find some pictures of them in a wallet type holster in a back pocket of jeans and shorts, but haven't been able to find any.

If any of you guys have pics of your pm/cm in your back pockets, please share them.

thanks

Alot of people can pocket carry pm9/cm9, but I cant....a little to big. I love my cm9 (appendix carry) and really considering p380 so that I can also pocket carry.

i want something for my back pocket at work, I am on my feet all day, but I am worried about something on my waiste showing, and hitting things since I'm always up against stuff on my front and sides, but I don't feel confident with a .380. the pm/cm's seem like the smallest 9mm available

I pocket carry but not in the back pocket. The gun in a holster is too fat for me to carry. Therefore I carry in the front pocket with a pocket holster. There are a lot of good front pocket holsters, I use an old elpaso leather for mine. It conceals very good.
For the OP, look up pocket holsters on the net. Usually the sellers will have pictures of them in a pocket.

most of the ones i've seen have the holster with a different gun in it, and none in a pocket. most common shots are of .380's, understandably.

If i was going to have something in the front pocket, i'd rather have my .45 or 9mm compacts iwb, if I go with a kahr, its back pocket or nothing, but I understand it's a bit big. I will say though, I used to wear a trifold wallet that was much thicker than the pm9 for nearly 10 years, so thickness is not a worry, I just want to see if
1 they fit in jean back pockets
2 they don't look excesively large

does it look like you have a wallet, or a large day planner?

naw a 9mm in ur back pocket isnot gonna work, unlss u have one hell of a back pocket kwhich I have seen very few around. They do well in the front pocket but if ur heart is set on back pocket I would hav eto say start looking at the 380 and then even those in some jeans dn't do well. I know none worked good in my jeans as enough stuck ]out at the top of the pocket that made it obvious..

if u noticed those are not jeans either but more like construction workers clothing a sit has the little side loops pockets for small tools etc. NO way would that rig fit in a pair of jeans rear pockets or should I say normal jeans pockets. Bib overalls have similar pockets than what this fella was wearing, if ur a redneck. anything can made to work but again one has to dress tocarry some guns and rear pocket casrry is gonna require certain types of clothing that is above the "norm". Just sayi.

I found another video where a guy took an iwb, pulled the clip off, then glued a piece of leather/plastic to it, and it fit right into his jean pocket, and he wears the same jeans I do. He also had the holster in the video above, but said it sat too high in his pocket so quit using it

IMO the pm9 is to big to pocket carry unless your talking jacket /vest pocket.

heres my pm9 in a desantis superfly in the back pocket of my diamond gusset carpenter jeans. i dont care for back pocket carry and front pocket carry my pm9 almost every day.
i was in same boat as you when i came across the pm9's. i wanted a quality 9mm as small as possible and can honestly say its the best carry i have ever bough. carrying it daily is no issue and very comfortable.

I gotta disagree there ol timer. I weight 170# 5'10: wear jeans 24/7, my pm9 rides in my front pocket 24/7 never been an issues, never been challenged as to what it is either. Not a fast draw area but I won't dress to carry either, when I wear a leather vest it will ride in that vest for there is more room there, at least in my vest.. Just sayin

I almost exclusively pocket carry my PM9 in my front pocket since I live in Florida, in dress and cargo pants/shorts you can't tell is there.
Now in my jeans its a little bulgy but nothing that is distinguishable or that calls attention, it helps to have the right holster.
By the way I'm 5' 9" and 170 pounds and I've never been called on the buldge in my pocket in all this years.

Ok to disagree I'm 195 # 5'11" and it's just never been a comfortable front pocket carry for me especially when riding the Harley. I usually wear it on my hip with a sleevless collard shirt not tucked in or in a denium vest pocket.

You can easily see the gun! I found that gun visibility problem when I tried a my CM9 in a Super Fly in the small front pocket of my Wrangler jeans. Even worse with a Remora, which had about 1.5" of sewn together material below the barrel. An Uncle Mike's #3 works better. Very thin. Even works IWB.

There comes a time when a woman just has to trust her husband... for example...

A wife comes home late at night and quietly opens the door to her bedroom.

From under the blanket she sees four legs instead of two.

She reaches for a baseball bat and starts hitting the blanket as hard as she can.

Once she's done, she goes to the kitchen to have a drink.

As she enters, she sees her husband there, reading a magazine.

"Hi Darling", he says, "Your parents have come to visit us, so l let them stay in our bedroom.

Did you say ˜Hello"?"

i agree that the gun is out there to see and i carry front pocket. the op was lookin for back pocket pics so i tossed it in there for the hell of it and snapped a pic. i was bored after workin on my f'n broken polaris.
i really think the pm is a sweet front pocket 9 & am looking for a thinner pocket holster. i am leaning towards the remora but the desantis works for now. i bought a piece of kydex and a piece of leather a while back hoping to make a hybrid pocket holster (cant believe no-one else has) but havent had the time...
for me, the hardest part of front pocket carry has been putting my wallet in my back pocket, the pm9 feels like it was meant to be in my front right...

The reason you're having trouble finding a holster is that the gun is too big for the back pocket. At the most recent local gun show I did find a back-pocket type holster, but it was ridiculously large.

Hmm, I ran about 220 miles today on my Wide Glide... pm45 in the front pocket. Different strokes no doubt.

That's cool. The Remora is very thick. A real leather pocket holster would be thin and would comform to your body.

Yep, I wear my pm9 in a PJholsters kydex rig. Works great in my pockets, but all my pants are chosen for they're big front pockets now. I actually have four pair of Vertx descreet cargo pants http://www.wearvertx.com/. Now that I've gotten used to all that space, I hardly ever wear jeans.

Well good for you, but you seem to forget we ride different bikes with different foot positions. (See my Avatar)Your bike has foward contols while mine are on the floor boards .Ever try to get to the PM45 when it's in your front pocket while riding? Have no problem taking it off my hip or out of a jacket pocket, if I ever had to. Doesn't hurt that I'm left handed because I don't have to take my hand off the throttle. Seems like a waste carrying at all if I can't get to the pistol out of your front pocket in a hurry if you should ever need it . Like you said different strokes no doubt. Different dominent hands, as well as different philosophy's.

My CM9 is too big (too long) for pocket carry, the butt of the firearm is still visible. I carry it my my front strong side. It does conceal in the pocket of my gym shorts.

Some jeans have deeper pockets. I have some Levi's Select jeans that work fine, but my Wranglers that I wear most of the time don't, with the back of the gun visible there very near the pocket opening.

Also, I concur on the difficulty drawing while sitting, which I do a lot of. I don't ride a Harley, but I ride this black leather high back executive desk chair all day long. I can scoot down and draw my CM9 from my front pocket, but I use a PJ C-Hook holster with zero cant at 11:00. Very comfortable and extremely easy to draw. The bulk of the slide, like with all semi-autos, causes some printing, but not too bad and not an issue around the house.

I have a couple of other PJ holsters and a James Dean leather IWB holster that I use to carry the CM9 at 8:00 when going out.

I am talking with James Dean about making me a thin, deep riding, tuckable leather AIWB holster with a slight negative cant for use with my J-Frame at 11:00. The J-Frame will be much less noticeable and easily concealed under a shirt. It will make a very discreet and easy to draw carry package. In fact, it will even work with the seat belt on when driving my car.

no go on back pocket when driving or riding the harley. i leave it in my front pocket when im driving my truck and if i am wearing my jacket on the harley, i throw it in my inside chest pocket so i dont lose it. i agree that its not the best place for accessibility but i suppose i'll sacrifice some speed for the peace of mind that my pm9 isnt gonna go bouncing down these crappy new england roads.

Huge? Well, them's the facts. The PM/CM guns are on the big end of the scale for pocket carry. That holster is as thin as you can get, being made of kydex. It certainly disguises the outline of a gun, and it would work OK in cargo pants or shorts, especially for a big guy. One thing I wonder about is how difficult it is to get a grip on the gun when you draw it, because that kydex looks tight and there is no hinge arrangement to allow you to slide your fingers between the holster and the gun grip. If you notice when he is handling it, he reaches for the gun on the open side. So it would almost work better when drawing for a righty to get a lefty holster and visa versa. But then you'd have the printing. Not a well thought out design, IMO.

I always carry my cm9 in my front right pocket using a desantis Nemesis holster. Its a little bulky but not bad at all.

Since the OP was inquiring about the rear pocket I figured I would try it out. I tried it in my right rear pocket and it was a tighter fit but it worked. You will definitely have to wear jeans with big pockets. Mine are Arizona carpenter jeans. I posted up a pic so everyone could see. I personally would never carry it this way since I would not want to sit on my gun. Talk about uncomfortable!

I agree about rear pocket carry, for me uncomfortable to sit on my gun. I tried an uncle george, but cannot get my hand on the gun, because of the stitching. I like the leather pocket holster from pocketholsters.com. I can carry either my PM9 or LC9 in the front right pocket of cargo, pants or shorts. With jeans, I can only carry an LCP or P380 front pocket, otherwise can't draw.(I know-large love handles get in the way)LOL.

I could never rear pocket carry on my bike. Hell I can't even stand my wallet in my rear pocket when I ride with the way the seat is designed. (sundowner bucket seat)The lower back support makes that a very uncomfortable ride. Will admit I have carried a P3at in the windshield bag at times on longer rides with a G26 and a couple extra mags in the left saddlebag. I really do not carry much of anything in my pants pockets when I ride. I will carry the p3at around the house in a front pants pocket when I'm doing yard work or something like that. In the house though I'm not usually more than a couple feet from my PM9 or the G26.

i front pocket carry in OP cargo shorts and trade off between cm9 nano s&w 637 or like my rig today cw45 in a #4 blackhawk with the spare mag in the lower front pocket. op i'd give up a pocket 9mm for back pocket carry. go 380 and be done.

I carry in a Blackhawk nylon pocket holster either in my front pocket or in the chest pocket of my jacket. Fairly cheap, well made, covers the trigger and breaks up the outline. Does all I want. I have an IWB but seldom use it because I have to be able to leave the gun in the car safe when at work.

Yea I know the lyrics are terrible and as bad as it gets but sometimes when I'm out riding a country road following the front wheel I find myself singing it along with some of my other favorites tunes with bad Lyrics. Just can't help myself. Depends on what's going on at the moment on which one I sing, but hell I'm Happy as and old biker can be with my knees in the breeze , riding my Roadking enjoying life so I don't care.:D
Let it be know though Elvira isn't one of them.;)

On a more serious note very often when riding country roads I hear this beautiful insturmentle by the Eagles playing in my head.

It's doable, but if you really want a pocket gun, you're better off with a 442, 642, etc or the Ruger LCR.

I found that the CM9 tends to hang up on the draw easier. That said, just go IMB and be done with it- the CM9 disappears under just about anything :)
