I have been experiencing nose dives using WWB 147Gr HP's. It appears the the round is hitting the slide pin. I know that there has been mods posted here where you grind the pin but I have been unable to locate the thread. Has anyone else had this situation and made the modification with success? If so, are there any negative effects from removing material from the pin? Any help is appreciated!

Round hitting the slide pin usually cause premature slide lock with round still in the mag. Nose dives are usually mag follower related.

Or try a different brand of ammo. Maybe the WWB is the problem.

do a search for the follower mod, i did it and no more nose dives and can slowely ride the slide forward and it chambers great. in my pm40 if i loaded 1 into the chamber then took the mag back out and topped it off it ALWAYS nosedived the second round. after the follower mod that stopped too

Here is the sticky (in the Kahr-Tech (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27) section) that details the follower mod that prevents nose dives.

BTW, it is probably that ammo. A lot of different brand guns, especially small ones, are somewhat ammo sensitive. Some manufacturers such as Seecamp, NAA and Rohrbaugh specify what brands to use. Kahrs are usually not sensitive except to ammo that is a bit longer or too squared off. Simlest solution is to find a SD ammo that feeds reliably and stick with it.

Well, here I go. I ordered two extra followers prior to performing any modifications. I did the follower mod and while inspecting the follower afterward, I notice gouges. The gouges were from the mag release making contact. I sanded the follower so the release would not make contact. Then off to the range I went. I ran through one magazine and the the the follower broke. It broke on the side where the gouges were of which I sanded. I must have removed too much material! Frustrated but not defeated, I headed home and did the mod to one of the extra followers. This time I did not sand the front where the gouges would be but instead I filed and sanded the mag release just enough for the follower pass without making contact but still securely holding the mag. I reassembled and dry cycled the WWB 147gr HP's. I noticed that there was an indentation from the slide pin on each round, I filed the slide pin enough for each round to clear without making contact. I dry cycled and reinspected each round. There appeared to be no further indentations.
I went to the range last night and went through 50 HP's and 100, 115gr WWB without a failure. ZERO failures! I am certain that the follower mod was successful but I am curious as what effect filing the mag release and slide pin may have had. Has anyone had the mag release situation?
I now can say that I am confident in this CM9 as my CC.
Thanks for all the input.
