Hey folks, I have been lurking for about a month as I have been in the process of finding my first ccw. Originally I was looking for a cw series either .40 or .45. However, the other night after returning from my local gun show empty handed again I decided to make an offer on a P40 with 50rds through it on a local gun forum here in seattle. The add had been up for almost a week with no response so I figured what the heck and offered him what I felt I could afford. As it turns out at this particular time due to the purchase of other toys this was not much. Even so the seller was interested in making a deal so I walked away with a P40 complete with tru dot night sights for well under $500.:)

The seller was a stand up guy with a good reputation on the forum so I trusted him on the round count. Assuming the low round count I went through Jocko's break in list as best I could. The gun showed very little to no wear once taken apart which made me happy. So far I have 100 rds with out failure.

I just want to thank you guys for having a great wealth of knowledge on this forum. I hope that over time with some experience with my Kahr, I will be able to contribute as well. Sorry for the phone picture.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I just finished cleaning and greasing her after the night out.
I will put a bunch more ammo through her in the next 2 weeks. Ordered the rubber talon grips earlier, figured at $10 its worth a try. I am also looking into and iwb or perhaps even a clip draw. I will do some more searching and see what I come up with but any advice is always appreciated.

My standard advice for IWB holsters with a CW9 or CW40 is the Galco Stow-N-Go ($25) or the Bianchi Pro 100 ($50)
I keep my CW9 riding in the Bianchi.

I have two friends local to me that have been using the clip draw on all of their ccw's for several years. I went ahead and ordered one, the good thing is it's removable, so if I don't like it I'm not stuck with it. Both of my friends rave about the comfort and concealment that comes with the clip draw. I will post some pics once I have it installed and do a little review.
