My cousin just bought a CM9. We went out and put 200 rounds through it this evening and it functioned perfectly. Now have to have one. The only thing I was not very impressed with is the trigger. It is very grainy when releasing it slowly. It also broke (I think this is the right term) at the very end and had to be released almost all of the way for it to reset (this may be normal). I have a black P380 with night sights that has a way better trigger that this CM9.
About 2 months ago I handled a used PM9 at a gun shop. It was the older style. It was black with night sights as well. This gun had a trigger as smooth as butter! It may have had some trigger work but I don't know if this is even possible as I have never heard of anyone doing so. Anyway, do the PM and CM pistols have the same type of trigger or is one better than the other. If they are the same I will just buy the CM9. Thanks.

Not 100% sure, but I think they are the same. Don't know why his felt that way on the release... mine doesn't the break is almost all the way back n the reset is pretty much all the way forward tho. Don't know if that helped....sorry haha

X2 ___
The CM9 has a conventional trigger, while the PM9 has a polygonal trigger.
No wait....
Both triggers have notches for alignment during assembly, they're not defective.
No wait....
The CM9 trigger is metal injection molded, while the PM9 trigger is fully machined.
No wait....
They're the same.

They should be the same, and smooth as buttered glass. Your cousin might have a bum pistols.

If that trigger is feeling gritty, I'd be cleaning the heck out of it.
Never saw, heard of or held a Kahr that wasn't slicker than sour Owl ****

Lmao!
The key to a smooth trigger on a Kahr is a smooth and clean striker and striker channel. Cleaning and more firing will smooth it out.

Clean out the striker channel with a pressurized can of non chlorinated brake cleaner. Put a small drop of oil on the trigger return spring. Problem solved.

Thanks for all for all of the replies. I will tell him to spray his out and oil it up. I may just order a CM9 for the price even though a black PM9 with night sights sure is sexy.

every gun can feel different and one migh even get one with a more gritty trigger but as most have stated. a good through cleaning and lubing of the gun does wonders for that gritty stuff, and certainly more rounds ouyt of thegun does wonders that a 600+ grit paper can never produce. The triggers are exactly the same, that being said tey can certainly feel different. again nothing wrong with either gun, sobest just shoot the fokker like u stole it and quit comparing it to others. One has to let the trigger on a akhr copletey reset itslef, so get used to that. I never even notice that sh-t. Once u get used to a gun, somethings just remain automatic with no thought prcess needed.

My CM9 felt a little gritty - nothing to get crazy about though - when it was right out of the box. Hosing out the striker channel with the striker forward and pulled back and a good lube of everything attached to the trigger made it all go away.
