Tritium or optic fiber sights?

is there really a big difference in these 2 sights performance wise? I have seen a lot of people use either and I getting curious if one is better than the other.

I have both. I put FO sights on my carry gun and have NS on my nightstand gun. I cannot see NS unless I am in the dark until my eyes have adjusted. IOW if I were walking to my car in a very dark alley from a party or restaurant, I cannot see my sights for the first 5 minutes without really concentration to see them. If I were to get up in the middle of the night, and grab my ns gun, the sights are like headlights. So for me, NS are for very specific conditions. That's just my opinion. The FO give me a little more versatility. Day time they are awesome. Low light still allows some performance which makes them a little better than iron sights and painted sights. At night, if there is some ambient light, they are as good as painted sights at dusk and in very dark conditions, they do nothing. Since I do not run around in the country where there is little ambient light, NS are not for me. Since there usually is some ambient light where I travel, the FO were a better option. Albeit not that much better, but a little better than painted sights in these conditions. I hope that makes sense.

I put FO sights on my carry gun...

I have FO front sights on one of my guns - a BuckMark target pistol, where I really like how they work there - but I have a couple questions for you with regard to their use on a carry gun:

1. The FO sights seem delicate to me - I was hesitant to even have them on a non-carry gun at first, but am wondering about your experience with their durability on a gun that you actually carry, given that it will likely be subject to some amount of being bumped around.

2. The FO sights are also fairly large, at least on my BuckMark, and I can't imagine having them on a carry gun. I haven't looked into this, so maybe there are much smaller ones, but do you find the size of yours acceptable? (I would be concerned about snagging.)

There are different sized FO sights out there. But not sure if they'd fit the Kahr. The Dawson guys have two different sized sights...maybe more.

As for durability I was skeptic at first with my 5.25 9mm XDM. But almost five thousand rounds later and I'm happy. However on a carry gun, I'll be using night sights as I do have zero light situations. But for the range, the fiber optic sights are flat out great.
