Wanting to be safe and sure with an SD barrel I got a Glock OEM 357 Sig.
As fate would have it, Speer GDHPs nose dive bad with this barrel.
Mad as hell I quickly order a full boat Wamma Jamma 357 directly from the
third party manufacturer Storm Lake.

If I would have settled down and did my research I could have had an extended, stainless, ported barrel in three days.
Instead of waiting THREE MONTHS. Plus I ordered what I thought was cool Isonite QPQ black finish.
Now that I've shot and cleaned my other standard shinny stainless Storm Lake barrels.
I've come to appreciate how easy it is to clean them with a silicon cloth and SEE the gunpowder come off.
I'm already having buyers remorse about the black Isonite QPQ finish before I even have it in hand.
Plus I'm not sure you can fit the barrel without taking off some of the finish.
So I'm thinking maybe the barrel needs some extra care that it really is drop in before it gets the Isonite QPQ process.

Interestingly, having two Storm Lake 40-9mm barrels, one G27 3.46" and one G23 4.02".
They each favor different bullets - LOL.

Wouldn't you know it?
The short barrel likes Speer GDHP 124 gr +P.
And the longer, higher velocity, barrel likes the higher velocity
Winchester 127 gr +P+ LOL.

I've got multiple boxes of 357 Sig 125 gr waiting for the aforementioned Wamma Jamma barrel.
1) Speer LE Duty GDHP 1375 fps
2) Winchester LE Ranger T-Series 1350 fps
3) Federal LE Tactical Bonded 1350 fps

Estimated barrel ship date is Friday 3/16/2012

I wait and watch...
