View Full Version : Slide Stuck, PM-9

:40:So, I was cleaning my new PM-9 for the first time. After lubing the rails, I slid the slide on (not the barrel or recoil spring rod) to work the lube around like I always do on my Beretta. Well, apprarently that isn't a good idea on a Kahr (or maybe any striker fired pistol), because the slide will slide forward just about to the line-up marks, at which point it catches the striker. I can continue to pull the slide forward until the striker spring is fully compressed (about two milimeters past where the slide normally sits). Can't figure out for the life of me how to get the slide off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Put the pin in, if its not there. You may need to wiggle things to get it in. No need to seat it fully, just get the pin in the hole enuf to engage the barrel.
After that, you should be ok - if not, report back!

CJB, the barrel is not there, just the slide.

Got it, just noticed the sticky in this thread and started reading through. The pin was not in it, nor was the barrel or rod. I started pulling the trigger and moving the slide from position to position, eventually it popped, and off it came.

lesson learned. I wold have thought it still should have came off, sometimes one has to pull the trigger at the sametime he is sliding the slide off the gun, that releases the cocking cam, which sometimes gets hung up on the back portion of the slide.

LOL! Is there something he can do with the trigger to get that slide unstuck?
