I have had my P380 for two years now and I have been very happy with it. I think deep down it thinks that it is a target pistol the way it shoots.

I keep it veryclean since I usually have it as EDC. I have never had a bit of trouble with it since I purchased it. I had two FTE and that was in the first 25 rounds of the 200 rounds of break in time.

Yesterday I went to the range with it and had some Remington green box ammo. This is the first time I ever shot this ammo and will probably be the last time as well.

On one round it did not eject. It looked as it if tried, but the round was stuck in the chamber. I had to push it out with a cleaning rod. I did not have any other troubles with that expect one time the slide did not lock back on the last round. I beleive that was my fault as I had my thumb on the slide release when shooting. I had to try a new method and did not like it.

that was the only problem in 50 rounds but it did shake my confidence. Any thoughts on the problem. I did not keep the empty brass that stuck in the chamber. When I did look at it, there was a mark where the ejector tried to pull it out but it did not eject.

Was it the Remington 95grain UMC ammo? I shot 2 boxes of it last weekend without any problems in my P380.

Sounds like you fed it something that didn't agree with it. Soak it in bicarbonate of soda and buy it some of its favorite food. You may have to burp it, too.

Mine didn't lock back on the last round several times with that exact ammo too. I think your recoil spring needs to weaken more to shoot those.

I am having an issue with my p380. I've had it over a year and have well over 500 rounds through it. I recently replaced the recoil springs. What I still have happen occasionally is that the magazine comes loose following a shot. It doesn't fall out but does come loose so next round does not feed. I have to push the mag back in and rack the slide. Any ideas?

call kahr and ask for a new magazine release button, there is a hoto toutorial on the kahr tech secion i THYINK UNDER CW45 FIXES. TAKES 5 MINUTES TO DO

or call kahr and have tem pick it up and wait 4 weeks for it. ur call to make. If the magazine goes in ok and u cannot physically pull it out, then u might consider that maybe ur grip has changed a tad and is now hittingthe mag release button. Actual recoil of the gun has no basic for the magazine falling out unless one of those two above things are happening. occasionally is to me a sign that it probalby is not the mag release . Just sayin.

Is it possible your thumb is hitting the release button during firing ?

Look inside your mag well. Is the mag catch chewed up or cracked?

is the mag catch on the P380 metal like all the rest or is it polymer with the metalinsert.

I think it's all metal.

After the responses I looked closely at the mag release and checked each magazine (I have two). One can be moved slightly when inserted and the other cannot. Because the fit is different I think I have a magazine issue. I'm going to the range today to confirm. Thanks for the help

Mark your mags.

The lip on the base of one of the magazines for my wifes p380 made contact with the bottom of the grip. If it was not inserted very firmly, it would not engage the mag release. A little work with a file fixed the issue.

After shooting in my other mag today (with no problems), I have ordered two new mags.
