Is there a way to determine when a particular Kahr was manufactured by the serial number? I do not really care, more curious than anything. I recently purchased a new K9 elite 03 and it came with nice rubbery Houge grips, however is seems as though (according to what I have read on this board) only the older Kahrs came with rubbery grips. Also, I was watching the "action job" video on YouTube and noticed that the demonstration Kahr had a steel strip embedded in the grip where the trigger bar rubs. My grip does not have a metal strip.

Call or email Kahr and they can tell you the born on date

You could go to the Kahr tech section of this forum where there is a sticky there called Kahr serial# history. Yours might be too new but you can try.

Kahr is very little help when it comes to the SN and dates. They don't seem to keep records of them. I called them trying to get some history on my K40. Best you can do is find where you fall in the owner created DB. It should give you an idea when it was made.

humm that is odd, as most who reort here of calling kahr get their birth date, sounds like u got a lazy ass person at kahr. They know when they made the gun, maybe not to the day but to the month.. U can go to glock talk and hit on the kahr serial numbers and get a later version of birth dates, It might get u closer to ur birth date. Maybe it is an illegal and has no birthdate!!! Just sayin.

Thanks for pointing out the list, mine appears to have been manufactured sometime after August of 2009

the older style K series with the rubber grips had the steel insert on the upper back portion right side grip due to an all rubber grip. The newer k grips are much arder and not needed. that keeps the g=trigger bar in proper alighnment and evidently it is not needed now..
