View Full Version : Dawson Precision Front Sight for CW & CM pistols

There was a post asking about DP front night sights for the CW & CM Kahr pistols. I had posted the pics of my CM9 with it. Yesterday I received the sight for my CW45 and installed it. They are stake on sights and come with a mounting tool and easy instructions. They also make them in fiber optic, and black serrated. They don't screw on like the ones from Kahr, but I like these better. Hope this helps anyone looking to buy DP sights :cool:

hey big bear - i am looking to get a front sight for my CW45 as well. why do you like these better than the screw on kind from Kahr? Thanks.

Some time ago I read a post that they were having problems with Kahr front night sights breaking off or just flying off after shooting the CW45. I can't say that's what happen to me but, that is what I read. I think the Kahr are better now but I have used DP sights on my other pistols ( Glock, Colt ) and really liked them so I ordered them from DP. Like I said it was something I read on KT, not what happened to me. I am not trying to flame Kahr because I like their pistols.

it loos like the dot may be lower on the new one, is that the case?
I found my cw45 shoots low anyway...

They are staked, the dawson website explains it pretty well. I am debating getting one of these vs. the front sight kahr offers. I suppose it's just personal choice. I like dawson and will probably go this route. Staked seems better to me. If kahr's was still $30, no brainer, but since both are right at $50....
