View Full Version : Be forewarned????

This is not from personal knowledge, but something sent to me by a permit holder friend. Maybe you've seen this as well?
Don't know if true or not but FYI; good to be "forewarned."
If you know veterans and gun owners ....or anyone who believes in the Second Amendment (and I feel sorry for those who don't....they who bathe in their ignorance), please pass this on. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom. Sound information.....you decide.
I am passing this along...there are comments from two other people I have also been asked if we keep guns in the house. The nurse just kinda slipped it in along with all the other regular questions. I told her I refused to answer because it was against the law to ask. Everyone, whether you have guns or not, should give a neutral answer so they have no idea who does and who doesn't.
My doctor asked me if I had guns in my house and also if any were loaded. I , of course, answered yes to both questions. Then he asked why I kept a loaded gun close to my bed. I answered that my son, who is a certified gun instructor and also works for Homeland Security, advised me that an unloaded, locked up gun is no protection against criminal attack. The Government now requires these questions be asked of people on Medicare, and probably everyone else.
( I JUST HAD A PHYSICAL 2 WEEKS AGO AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE QUESTIONS HE ASKED}
Just passing this along for your information:
I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house?? My answer was None of your damn business!! So it is out there!
It is either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way, it is out there and the second the government gets into your medical records (As they want to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in lock and load!!
Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners...Thanks
From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer:
I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along.
While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions:
1. Did I feel stressed?
2. Did I feel threatened?
3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?
The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.
Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have?
Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner veteran or not, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED !
If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom.

Still a good reminder and something to keep in mind when you visit the saw bones or even the dental torturer.
I usually wear my guns and sometimes have to set them aside.
They wanted to strap something to my ankle couple visits ago and I had to ask which ankle, sho nuff, had to take the ankle rig off and set it aside. They didn't even question it.

To update this, Be cautious about which chain letters you forward. Your friends may be gullible and actually believe this is fact. Pass it on or grow an extra toe. Hurry.
This is a perfect example of why we need to go beyond cut & paste as we try to articulate our fears. See the When...It doesn't matter post for an even better example.

What's to question? They probably wrote a note in your file after you left. ;)

here in fla. i got a notice from city hall that if my home alarm goes off more then 3 times in a yr. and the cops show up and it was a false alarm. 1st offence $100 2nd $500 if it happens 10 times in a yr $10,000 fine. also in the paper work was a Q and A about if i have guns how many and what kinda dog do i have if any.
now heres the kicker ? i called them and if i disclose guns and dog ? no fines. if i do not disclose fine. i asked why does it make a difference? she said to protect our officers.
i hung up tore up the papers and never looked back. buddy of mine got it he's a gun owner and dog owner he filled out the paper and mailed it in. then he asked me about it. i told him what i did and he looked at me like should i have filled it out.
i call him a stupid d@*k head.

No they would not know what to do with you once they got you. Instead, they put " Bad *** Mother Fukkker" on your file and "Leave Alone" so you are good to go. :w00t:

We have a similar letter that goes out after 3 false alarms. Here you get 3 free, then a warning and then fines after that. If it's a new system and there's just issues getting it working they usually waive the fines.
There are questions like dogs on premise and guns. To my understanding this is in case you really do have an intruder, would the intruder possible have access to a gun under the counter etc. Just a heads up possibility. They have no effect on weather the fine stands or not.
Mostly there is a place to fill in contact information so officers can get somebody there to look things over and make sure it's ok so they can get back to doing other stuff.
The fine is just an incentive to get your system working properly and not tie up officers or put them at risk when they run code to your home or business because the dog tripped a motion sensor.
I'm reminded of the story about the little kangaroo that cried wolf, or was it a chicken? Crap I can't remember who cried wolf. Maybe it was a boy?

This is the first time that I ever saw or read about this thing. I had no idea if it was true or not or that it was on old urban legend. The way that this country is going, it would not surprise me if it wasn't all true. At least if it isn't true, maybe we have something to look forward to in the future.

That sounds like a clear violation of Florida's State preemption law where a city is creating a de-facto gun registration.
