Swampman sent me these and I thought everyone might get a kick out of them. I need to find a better copy of the "sign in the yard" -- higher resolution. When I was reducing it I made it too small.

Ur welcome. I didn't think you would mind if I posted them. I did give you credit and I sent those to about everyone I know that cares about guns. I like sharing stuff and my wife usually doesn't want to be pulled over to look at stuff on the computer.

You can right-click on the opened image and then copy & paste it or use "save as" to put it wherever you want.

I'm using a rather lengthy process to take them from the email and make jpegs (24!) and then size them as necessary and post them here. I just set my camera for 640x480 and the files are the right size for posting here -- saves editing them unless I want to crop them. Sometime I'll send you how I post. There are better ways by uploading them to a site that holds them for viewing by anyone.

Was that an exploded Glock? Did you see my side-by-side post of the PM9 and the K9 barrel? There's a big difference between the two barrel hoods or chamber portions -- a lot less metal in the PM9!:eek: That makes me think the K9 is a whole lot more able to fire +P or better loads.

There was quite a difference in the barrel hoods between those two barrels, but that has less to do with containing the pressure than the thickness of the chamber walls and the mating of the barrel to the chamber. Material used in construction obviously has a lot to do with it.

Ruger P95's have a pretty fair amount in there :)

Hey Jeep, I know everyone has different styles of shooting stances, but when I saw this photos, I tryed them and found them to be... somewhat awkward. Maybe it's just me, but I normally hold my right arm (trigger side) out to the side and my left arm (support arm) tucked under.

You can try Google to find posters and these are probably from some "right-wing" pro-gun group or something like that, ya know... some of those who still "cling to their guns and religion...." If it's available, it can be found by Google.

Hey Jeep, I know everyone has different styles of shooting stances, but when I saw this photos, I tryed them and found them to be... somewhat awkward. Maybe it's just me, but I normally hold my right arm (trigger side) out to the side and my left arm (support arm) tucked under.

A lot of people say that, and it is for the first few times you try it.

It's meant for close in recoil control, squaring up to the target so your chest is flat and the rifle doesn't recoil to the side, and driving the muzzle to the target while keeping your arms tucked in to keep them from being blown off. Squaring up presents a slightly larger target, but compared to the bladed stance, not all of your vital organs would be hit with a single shot.

That stance has been modified even more to fit me currently, and it's much much faster. My support hand now completely wraps around the forearm, with my index finger pointing in line with the bore, and my thumb wrapping over the rail and touching my other fingers. Split times have dropped an incredible amount, perceived recoil is lower, sights don't move off the target, and it's natural now.

It is NOT meant for precision shooting like what Project Appleseed teaches. It's another tool in the toolbox for a different problem.

A LOT of the good shooting stances/techniques feel very awkward until you run them for a while. Prime example is shooting a pistol 2 handed, using the isosolies stance, and rolling your shoulders forward.
