Slide Disassembly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mi3VFRll2L4)
Slide Reassembly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XBysFcsLJI)
Followed both of these for my PM9, same exact procedure. Very high quality.

FYI, as posted on another thread and as indicated in the Kahr manual detail stripping the slide can void your warranty.

I think taking the back plate off to access the striker channel and the extractor should not be considered to void the warranty. Just thorough cleaning. And, of course, installing the 5 lb striker spring.
Why does Kahr say that?

I think that they say it so that you'll send it back to the factory for a detailed cleaning. If you screw something up in disassemble or reassembly they aren't responsible for it.

From my understanding, which is limited, a company cant just "void" a warranty. They can deny a warranty claim if they find that a defect was caused, or related to something the user did. Thats my reasoning, and im stickin to it. I really want to take down my slide.

The video poster needs to try this with a "Ripley Retractor" instead of the slide relase. Makes the process easier, faster and IMHO, safer.
Where in the manual does it speak of disassembling and warranties?

Are you selling those Ripley Retractors?
No. It's just a bent piece of coathanger wire or similar material. Very easy to make yourself.

These are great videos - thank you! I followed the process for my CW9 and the amount of brass shavings that came out of the striker channel was quite a surprise. Actually, I'm more surprised that I haven't had any light strikes because of all that gunk in there!
Thanks again!

Dang, Dietrich would have loved to see "Detailed Strip Video" as a title to a thread. Might have even posted on his his own. Oh, are we talking about guns? Nevermind!

I'm glad everyone liked the videos, but the person to thank is the man that made them -- so comment on his youtube!

I thought I had posted my finding on the slide disassembly warranty issue but it must have been a similar thread.
Taking the slide apart for cleaning/spring replacement etc DOES NOT void or effect your warranty.
I'm not sure how to make the video's a sticky, I'll leave that to JohnH or JustinN.
