Is there reason to think that Kahr uses anything but the Lothar Walther barrels? This is all I see on the web site. I've assumed that even the C series, though conventional, were also made by the same people. Is this correct?

I saw the video and am a bit confused. I'll do some homework when I a chance but the history of Kahr began with Moon founding Saeilo (Justin Moon still President/CEO) doing CNC machining. There he designed the pistol and founded Kahr as a subsidiary. With the machining capability he certainly could machine his own barrels, but perhaps there's a patent issue. If so it may explain the cost difference in the PM vs CM guns as he may be outsourcing the PM and doing his own CM barrels.
More later.

I believe that Kahr manufactures their own match grade barrels and that the barrels employ Lowthar Walter polygonal rifling in all but the CM and CW series guns which employ conventional rifling. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Okay here's the story straight from the Kahr site (http://www.kahr.com/kahr-barrel.asp).
=============
"The Kahr barrel begins its transformation from a solid round billet of high tensile strength proprietary steel, 3 inches in diameter and 30 inches long. In the temperature-controlled environment of the Lothar Walther factory, the barrel stock is gun drilled and rifled to match grade tolerances.
At the Kahr factory, the barrel stock is precisely cut to length and CNC machined. Nearly 75% of the solid steel billet is machined away to produce a single Kahr barrel. This intensive production method, providing the greatest material integrity and tightest tolerances, was chosen to assure the best quality barrel possible."
===========
So yes, they are made both by Lother Walther and by Kahr. Kahr receives drilled and rifled bar stock in 3" diam X 30" lengths, then machines them to form the chamber and housing, ramp and the slide stop pin doohicky.
Hmmm how bout a 30" 9mm barrel. Chamber it for a .50 BMG cartridge which is throated down to 9mm. Probably have to use depleted uranium for bullets to take the pressure. Lead would melt before it reached the muzzle. Let's see "Myth Busters" take that one on!

Couldn't have said it better myself, Linc, especially the doohicky part. :)

This is why the Kahr pistols are so impressively accurate for their barrel lengths. I have continually heard that from Kahr owners over the years. Even people who have bothered to shoot the little .380 at 25 yards. :)
