I have always been careful to put the slide spring on my Kahrs back as indicated in a blown-up diagram. Some of my other brands of striker fired guns are quite sensitive as to which way the spring is oriented. My new Kahr .380 even has two slide springs to deal with.

Just curious, does it really matters which end of the springs go where? I know my Glock doesn't like the spring installed backward (found out the hard way).

This is why a owners manual comes with every gun and the first page says to read the manual before operating the gun. Sometimes this falls on deaf ears.
Having said that, there are diagrams in the manual that give the exact information with diagrams that you are requesting.

You missed the point of my question. I know how it is suppose to go and always to date have put the spring in the right way. To clarify my question--has anyone ever put the spring/springs in backward, had a problem with FTF, etc. and later determined that the cause was their spring/springs were in backward?

On internet gun forums, reading comprehension is not #1 for many people.

As per TucsonTB indicated, yes there are a number of people who have done so often with poor results.

happen with the OM and cm version with the two peace captive recoil spring is that it is possable for that open end tip that is supposed to go always towards the front of the slide to actually work itself over that recoil end flat cap and then u will have feed issues. At one time the early model kahrs of about maybe 5 years ago has a 3/8" flat end part which went up aganst the barrel lug, then they changed tha tto a 1/2" size and my thoghts were possabe because of what was happeing iwth the recoil spring wanting to ride over that end cap. So today 1/2" end peace,it would be harder indeed to ride over that but just put the springon correctly and onceu train yourself to do that it is like pissin into the wind. U LEARN THE RIGHT WAY REAL FAST.

Just sayin.
