Today I picked up a little Taurus TCP at Cabela's. I used to have a Ruger LCP and hated it. Sold it to get my first Kahr in fact. Well, it's an easy size to miss and I finally gave in after doing some research. The gun has mostly good reviews so I'm giving it a chance.
Cleaned it up then ran 50 Winchester White Box through it followed by 8 Speer Gold dots without a hitch. Got home, wiped it down and loaded up with Gold Dots and through it in my Smartcarry where it disappeared.
I already like it much better than the LCP, more fun to shoot and already less trouble. :-)
I think it's a keeper.

Very cool little pistol. Kinda looks like something from Star Trek, but they could teach Kahr how to make a mag baseplate.

my brother has a Ruger LCP and I hate shooting it. Flesh between the thumb and index finger aches after one mag. Is this one any better on the trigger hand?

No pics of your new baby?
How hard is it to wrack compared to your PM9? (I know, you can probably wrack it one handed using one finger and a thumb, but I have some challenges with my crippled hands.)

Yes, much better. Still no range gun but I actually enjoyed shooting it.
I've got a couple pics I'll post shortly.
Easy to rack, seems to be smoothing out as I shoot it.

I've got the big brother to that the 740 slim and it is a handy size. Matter of fact, that will be my BUG when I start carrying in my vest pocket. It is a strange coincidence that I have three extra mags for it and for my Beretta (duty weapon) as well.

BARTH & THUNDER71,
I saw this new XDs in a gun magazine recently. Looks alot like my old XD45 Compact. Not many of those around...I've always wished that it was a little lighter and a shorter barrel. Other than that its a fine pistol & packs 10 round or 13 rounder with the extended magazine which I hate. Mine even function with my lead semi wad cutters with out incident.
I got it a few years back only. I wish instead of a 4" Barrel and weighing 28-30 oz's it's lighter and shortened the barrel by .7" inches of the new XDs.
