Cleaned-out my CW9 striker channel - WOW!

There's a thread in the CM & PM section that I wanted to cross post here. I just followed the instructions in the referenced videos and found A LOT of junk in the striker channel of my CW9. Just bought my first can of CRC NCBC from Walmart on Friday. I've never flushed out the striker channels, but it's time to do so. Way over due on the P380.

I'm sure flushing would help, but considering the size of some of the pieces I cleaned-out, I would recommend taking it apart.

Yup, you need to take it down once to get the chunks out. With the striker removed and the straw on the can, run it up inside and spray until it comes clean running the straw up and down. Once done you should be good for a long time or perhaps forever as long as you spray in the hole while exercising the striker.

Jocko says never and he's most likely right. Meant to ask him if after so many rounds he has taken it down just to check. Now that would be assurance and convince me once is enough.
