Eight round mags in Kahr micros

I haven't got one in hand but looking at the K920G 8 round magazine with grip extension it looks as if there is a significant gap between the extension and the grip of a PM/CM model. It may not make any difference but given the tight specs on a Kahr I'd prefer to have my mags locked in place vertically with no play.

Has anyone tried forming their own grip extensions from Kydex on a K920 w/out the Kahr grip extension? If so, how did it go? I was thinking about making one with a "G" shape cross section to bring the rear of the extension out to match the back strap of the grip like Springfield does with their XD mag grip extensions.

I put a regular flat plastic floorplate on the one I have. It works just fine.

The PM/CM 6 round mags are not "locked in place". There is a gap between the base ond the bottom of the grip.

Some of us have the A&G Grip Extenders that mount on the mag with a set screw and line up pretty well - bit not perfect - with the grip. It's for the 7rd mag so the 8rd would stick through. I considered getting the 8rd with the extension and trim it to fit perhaps even raising the A&G to close the gap.
