Hello, I just put a new CW9 on layaway, I went to the my local shop to look at a Kel Tec P11 and put the CW9 on layaway instead. I am not new to handguns, but needless to say the ones I own up to this point are not of the Kahr quality. I have a Llama MaxI 45, Bersa 380, and a Hi Point C9. I do have better long guns as I started out hunting as a teen before I joined the military were I was introduced to handguns for the first time.

I chose the Kahr after looking at the Kel Tec P11, Ruger LC9, and a Taurus (sorry can't recall the model) based on feel (grip and construction), trigger, and fit and finish. The one thought I have about the CW9 is the longer trigger pull and reset, but my thought was with range time and practice it should be no problem and it is smooth with a clean break. Anyway, just thought I would say hi before I head out to work have a great nite. Oh on side note while my current handguns are on the cheap but they all shoot pretty accurate when compared to the S&W model 10 and 15 I used in the military. They all feed without problem as well.

Welcome.

Nothin' cheap about the CW9, except the price. An excellent firearm by all accounts

Welcome indeed chipD, I'm not very new here, been around awhile. Hope you like it here in our own little oasis. You'll be a regular round here in no time.

Heck I thought tilefish had been around a long time. Fit right in too.

All the new wore off of you a long time ago, Bawanna. Tell Chip what that chip in the left frame rail is for. Save me the trouble. Welcome aboard Chip.

Welcome chipD from another newby. :) I bought a CW9 a couple weeks ago for my wife after looking at the cm9 for quite a while. I got some great advice from many on this site. I know you'll really enjoy this site and your cw9. My wife has around 50 more rounds to put through it and it will be broken in. I recommend cleaning it before you shoot it. Some say their's performed well right out of the box but our's had a few ftl and ftes the first couple mags. I cleaned it and it did much better the next time out.
Let us know how your's performs.
