Shot just over 400 rounds through the CW9 today. I had previously shot 75 on the day of purchase last week, only cause I ran out of ammo . Anyway my summary of today: I need to buy a 2nd Kahr because I think this CW9 has turned into a range toy. LOL. I absolutely love shooting this guy. In fact I only shot my XDM 9 5.25 about 300 rounds when normally I do at LEAST 500. We had our .22lr also and I used up about 400 rounds in my two...a M&P 15-22 and Ruger 10-22 Target. We wasted a whole bunch of .22 on steel animals from 25yds. LOL. That was funny.

I mostly shot from 5-7yds at paper plates with a sharpie dot drawn in the center. I was very pleased with my shooting. We all know the Kahr is an accurate pistol so it's all on the shooter. I tried to emulate a stress scenario for 80% of the time and shot 5 rounds from 25yds at different times....just had to keep impressing myself at the range this sub-compact has. LOL.

Hollow points: After making sure to clear the 200 round mark, I field stripped and wiped off the feed ramp. Checked things out and shot three more mags of FMJ. Then loaded up with hollow points. Hornaday 147gr TAP, Hornaday critical defense 115gr., Remington golden saber 124gr, and Remington UMC 115gr. All fed fine and fired fine. Of course each type would like to hang up if riding the slide when chambering. I just had to check each type just to see. That is not how I operate the pistol so it's not a big deal to me. It would be nice if that didn't happen but I'm not complaining. My normal loading is either overhand powerstroke or the slide release. Usually only use slide release for one handed operations.

My buddy liked shooting the CW9 as well. It took him a few tries to learn the overhand powerstroke. He normally only uses the slide release on his M&P9mm. So he just stuck with the slide release. He shot about 6-7 mags through the Kahr and like me, he just wanted to keep shooting and shooting. LOL.

It was a fun range day and cant' wait till next week to shoot a lot more through the CW9. Love it.

Nice collection of toys.... almost looks like my last trip to the range a couple days ago. I took my Kahr PM9, XDM .40, Savage Mark II BSEV .22, and a Ruger Mark II .22 Goverment Target pistol. I know... pictures, pictures! lol

I have a quite a few round down range with my PM9 now, its running good now that they traded my 7 round mag for another 6 round mag.

Good to hear you got it going good. I was unsure of the 8-round mags I bought. I did tweak the tops of all the magazines so they would drop free when using the mag release.

Also I found plastic flashing inside the frame of the CW9. It was actually in the way of the mag release rod. When pressing the button the rod would start to move, then start bending over the flashing before releasing the mag. It took me about two days before I actually looked down from the top in the mag well. Not sure why it took so long. But after removing that little flashing the mag release works more firmly.
