I had not given too much thought to storing ammo in the house or garage. Yesterday in the Memphis news there was a storage shed owned by a reloader on fire. The video showed a minor fireworks display as ammo and powder ignited. I'm wondering if storing ammo and powder in an old refrigerator, with a padlock on it might be a good option? If the seal is good it would help with the humidity issue, and mabe a vent of some sort installed in case of a fire to relieve pressure. Any thoughts or ideas?

Frig without a lock would do it. pressure would just open the door. I have mine on a couple shelves in the office. But then I don't have that much to store. If you reload, why build up an enormous inventory when you can always reload more when you get low.
Conversely some buy ammo by the pallet load and storage becomes an issue.

Old Army surplus ammo cans are traditional. Most have a rubbery seal to make them air tight. Works for me. ;)

Yep, that's what I use^^^^. Easy to grab and go if needed too.

The ammo cans work for me. Easy to stack and don't take up a whole lot of room.

Old Lincoln, I shoot a lot in the warm months so I load up during the winter when I have plenty of indoors time.
