I have spent several weeks reading info throughout this site and since my new gun is officially in my hands I figured I would report. I purchased the pm9 from budsgunshop with the factory night sights. The gun looked good when I picked it up from my ffl and so on the ride home I racked the slide as many times as I possibly could. I believe I might have done it more than 500 times. I got home, cleaned it up and then lubed it as I have seen and read on this site many times. 400 rounds later it has been perfect, 115gr fmj winchester white box, remington, and federal. I then put the 124gr+p winchester xdp1 and federal low recoil 135gr bullets without a hitch also. I will note that the +p ammo has a little more snap to it after shooting 115gr fmj all day. I dont really enjoy that as much so I would love some recommendations on self defense carry ammo. /would regular 124gr speer gold dots, hornady, or the like work well through this gun?

Also one other question while I have you here :) I noticed that my front trudot tritium sight on my pm9 is busted so after contacting kahr they told me they are sending me a shipping label. Since the gun is brand new will I be out any expense for them fixing my busted sight? How long will it likely take to get my concealed carry weapon back?

stink, my fault....one last question. Any holster recommendations for this gun. I have a crossbreed minituck coming for iwb because I love the holster that I have had for my kimber ultra carry and now my glock 27 but I was thinking pocket holsters or the like for days when IWB doesnt work as well. Thanks for yalls time

Silent Thunder! http://www.giholsters.com

A PM9 shouldn't ride in anything but. (Well, with the exception of a fine Galco Ankle Glove on occasion).

PS
Shouldn't cost you a dime to have it fixed under warranty.

PSS
I'd recommend the Winchester PDX1 124gr or the Federal HST 124 or 147 grain standard loads if you can find it.

Cheaper than dirt has the excellent Ranger T 147 grain "law enforcement only" bullets in stock. Nice recoil on them too. One thing to keep in mind is that those "hypervelocity" 115 grain bullets don't really get any kind of impressive speed out of a tiny barrel. In my mind it's better to go with a heavier bullet from a small gun, but there are probably many that would disagree with that.

another vote for the ranger t's and i hate pocket carry, but for iwb this http://theisholsters.com/index.php is more comfy than the crossbreed:)

if it were me id spend the $30 and do it myself. instead of waiting mostlikely a month or more without my gun.

Here is a great deal on a super nice pocket holster from one of the oldest holster and gear makers: The El Paso Pocket Max (http://gunholstersunlimited.com/el-paso-pocket-max-pocket-holster-ambidextrous-natural-kahr-pm9-pm40-mk9-mk40-pmpm9-1.html?cat_id=79). It is horsehide, very thin, molds to your body, stays open for reholstering. Now, it will move when you draw the gun, but the hooks will catch so it stays in the pocket. It never came out with the gun in my experience. You learn to ignore the movement, drawing your gun with confidence, moving it toward the rear as soon as the grip clears the pocket opening, rotating it to get the muzzle pointed toward the target. Of course, the advantage to pocket carry is that you can nonchalantly put your hand in your pocket and get a good combat grip on your gun before drawing it. The disadvantage is the difficultly drawing while you are seated, but wearing not too tight pants and scooting forward in the seat can help.

First of all congrats on your new pm9. I got mine in January and now have 700 rounds through it with no problems A Hundred of those rounds have been Hornady Critical Defense. No feeding issues and have gone bang every time. As for a holster have been having a little fun trying out different ones but really am liking my Remora . Hope you continue to have good luck with your pm 9 and enjoy the "hunt" for the "perfect" holster and ammo
