K9 Manufacture Date

I currently have a K9 on layaway. I was wondering if anyone can tell me approximately when it was made. The serial number is AR14XX.

I ordered mine new and got it in March of '98 and it's AR17xx. Other than a tight chamber for some ammo at that time (Corbon and some kind of Speer back then), I have had no problems with mine... except adjusting to the trigger. I can shoot it a lot better since I've had a lot of experience with Kahrs now.

I checked out the "born on" thread, but cant find my serial number. My NYPD reject is ar8768. I'm guessing '99-00?

Kahr will give you an exact date. My new MK40 was actually four years old when I bought it - born 2/29/2008. Wonder where it sat for those years.

Looks like the following:

AR80xx - K9 Elite2003 - Aug 2004
AR88xx - K9 - Jan 2005

Mine is AR86XX

Might be undocumented, but it has an SS number and it gets healthcare, Senor
