I'm excited to have joined your forum after a few weeks of trolling around it. More importantly, I pick up my PM9 tomorrow. I've read about the importance of the 200 round break-in period. Are there any other pointers you guys can throw at me so I have a great experience with my new Kahr?

I am relatively new to the handguns, having purchased a S&W M&P .45 and a Springfield XD9 in the past two years. I've put less than 500 rounds through those w/o ever having a problem. I have my conceal/carry permit and really wanted something I could take with me each day. Kahr PM9 seemed like the best choice for me after much online research.

I welcome any advice you guys want to hand out about making my Kahr experience very enjoyable.

Thanks,
Mike

First, welcome to the forum.
Second, congrats on a great gun
Third, check out the stickies in the tech section on prep and lube. Very good info

Got it! Hadn't seen that section, and that was exactly the kind of information I was looking for. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new PM9. IMO the PM9 is an awesome firearm; the queen of the subs. However, be aware that shooting a PM9 is not the same than shooting a revolver or any other semi-auto. Do not get frustrated if at the beginning you have some or several malfunctions and do not blame the gun for it, because most probably it will not be the gun’s fault. And above all, read the manual!

Welcome to the forum! I think the PM9 is the best CCW out there. If you are like most others, you will love the gun. Please take the time to read the manual. It will tell you how to load the gun. Most PM9's cannot be successfully loaded using the slingshot method (at least until they are broken in a bit). Again, read the manual and get to know your gun.

Best of luck and keep us posted on how it works out for you. :)

Welcome to the forum! You chose a great CC weapon.

If you go to the PM9 page on the Kahr website and select the Downloads tab, there are a couple of videos that you should look at. In particular, positioning the slide stop lever correctly as you reinsert it during assembly.

Get a rubber grip sleeve for it such as the QwikGrip (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Products.aspx?CAT=84) (my choice), or the Hogue Handall Jr if you want palm swells and finger grooves. They really aid in comfort and secure grip.
