Picked up a CM9 to carry, as my G19 gets a lil heavy after a while (especially in the summer)

Clean & Lube, plus slide racking until smooth prior to shooting.

Took it to the range Thursday and put 50 rnds of 115gr FMJ Speer Cleanfire, 50 rnds of 115gr JHP Federal, and 6 rnds of 115gr JHP Hornady XTP's. Zero FTF, Zero FTE.

Recoil was manageable even though i can only get 2 fingers on the grip.

Trigger was smooth as glass but long (to be expected).

My only real issue is the dot-i sights. I've never used them so they will take some getting used to.

Over all very impressed and hope to enjoy this little pistol for a LONG time.

Also installed a clipdraw which I think i'm going to like!

Congrats and welcom!

Not a fan of the clipdraw when their are so many better options for these small carry guns.

was working on that...

I like the clipdraw because it doesn't add any width to the gun. I plan to pickup a pocket holster also.

I've not tried the clipdraw, but can see it sure would be easy to grab on your way to the store. Heck if you can shoot with the other hand you can also wear it OWB. I have to say though that it doesn't appear very comfortable with the sharpness of the gun riding into your side. Nor very safe with the trigger exposed. But if it works for you it might be the cat's meow.

Great buy. Got mine and has worked flawless. Take a look at PJ holsters, very good and also Versacarry, a lot of people don't like it ( as the clipdraw) but it works for me. got Generation II, with the trigger guard.

Congrats on the new toy. I'm new here too. Just got a P9 and I'm totally in love with it. First gun I've had other than pocket gun that I felt comfortable with all day. My first Kahr but now I'm thinking of replacing my LCP with a CM9. Good luck with it.

Welcome, ixer. I guess birds of a feather do flock together. Like you, I have a G19 and just got a CM9 a few days ago because I wanted something a little smaller for the warmer weather.

Glad to read that your gun is working well and that you had a good trip to the range.

as much as i LOVE MY TUNED and most accurate gun I have ever shot. My G19 is a safe queen, and I have no safe. PM9 trumps all.

I think it will take a little while for me to get super-comfortable with the CM9 as the G19 has been my EDC for a few years and I've used it for training and some competitions.

But I'm looking forward to getting that "in tune" with my CM9.

I just need to stay up to date with my G19 as i run some local matches with it. I picked it back up after shooting the CM9 and the G19 felt weired....

As for the "poking / sharp edges", I generally forget the CM9 is on me with the clip draw. I have it riding pretty low and carry around 4 o'clock, strong side.

I need to find a couple more mags for this thing, but geeze $40 + Shipping from Kahr. The thing only holds 6 rounds!!! My glock mags hold 15, are 3 times the size, and only cost $28!!!!!!! What's the deal?

Thanks for the warm welcome!!!

There are several places on line to get Kahr mags for around 25 to 30 bucks. Ivanhoe seems popular. Cheaper than Dirt. Several others. A guy at our local gunshow with lots of mags sells them for 28 last ones I got.

i also had a clipdraw on my bodyguard before i sold it for my cm9. I then found VERSACARRY.COM and i have 2 of these (different calibers) and i love it. it gives a lot more holding power than the clipdraw (actually hold to belt) and doesn't add any real bulk. Great little holster and cheap to boot.

That being said, if anyone wants to paypal me 10 bucks i'll throw my clipdraw in an envelope with 5 or 6 extra adhesive strips and ship it to you. :D
